"Don't say his name!"
Heather screamed, interrupting Richard angrily, "Aren't those monsters strong enough already?"
"I promised to be the godfather to their two children... I promised that fox I'd give them money after the war!"
Richard hung his head despondently, murmuring, "I promised..."
Two silent tears slipped down Heather's cheeks. She remained silent for a long time before quietly asking, "When... was this? Why didn't I receive intel?"
"Lady Spider from the secret unit came by yesterday and told me the news."
Richard tugged at the corner of his mouth, dryly saying, "Clearly, the madman thinks the latest intel from the Red Cloud Platform will motivate me. He knows we're barely holding on."
Heather raised her hand to wipe away the tear from the corner of her eye, softly saying, "He succeeded, didn't he?"
"No, although he's always good at manipulating minds, this time is different."
