The letter contained the broad objectives of the research, such as developing durable currency paper and specialised inks, studying printing techniques, investigating engraving methods and inventing an automatic numbering press.
Finally, the goals were to produce prototypes for government examination.
The university was also asked to identify which departments, professors, researchers, craftsmen, and students could contribute.
Riz wanted the university to approach the problem as a coordinated project rather than as several unrelated experiments.
