Li Tingyan remained motionless, almost suffocating with worry.
He knew Nianyang's physical condition best, her belly was excessively large, her legs trembled when she stood for too long, how could she help Saozi Liu with the delivery?
Nianyang gripped Li Tingyan's hand, "Trust me, hm?"
Li Tingyan gritted his teeth and had to step aside.
Nianyang asked He Suzhi to assist her, pulling down Saozi Liu's pants and lifting her clothes to reveal a large amount of blood between her legs.
He Suzhi's hands shook with fright, while the women accustomed to such scenes were all cheering Saozi Liu on.
Nianyang glanced under Saozi Liu, seeing a pile of weeds—it was too unhygienic. So she used a towel to pad it, then soaked a towel in hot water to clean Saozi Liu, recalling in her mind how to assist in childbirth from the medical books she had read, starting with the condition of the mother.
