Alwin knew he could never repay his lord fully for giving him another chance at life; thus, he wanted to be useful to him in every way possible.
He fully understood the frustration of wanting to do something for his lord and his elders who had taken care of him but having no chance to be useful at all because, with how long they had lived, they were all so competent and could do everything themselves.
Only in the human realm had Alwin found the chance to be useful.
Thus, when Blanca insisted she wanted to be of help too, Alwin allowed her. Even though he could simply clean his room with magic or let Riley do it as usual, he gave the responsibility to Blanca when she asked for it.
He had also taught her what she wanted to learn so she could be as useful as she wanted to be. She said she would be useful to him too, but in the end she was the one who revealed his secret to his lord.
