Seeing her smile softly, as if relieved he finally got it, made Alwin feel like he was some kid she needed to educate to understand all this. He was a bit offended.
He understood she was saying all this for his sake since he did have difficulty grasping the depth of his elders' care for him.
But still, Alwin wanted to believe he was older and more mature than her. In terms of years, at least.
"Aren't you the same? You are also focused on correcting the past and chasing the future, so my lord has already noticed that you seem to be in a hurry to fix things," Alwin pointed out, not wanting to be the only one on the spot.
He had overheard his lord and Raymond talking about this as he went to report something some time ago. Thankfully, Raymond thought it was typical of humans to be chasing something in a hurry because of their short lifespan.
