Chapter 97: Marriage
Raiken was not joking when he said he would marry Mikoto the very next day.
To him, delaying it any further would be nothing but foolishness.
He already possessed the capability in finance, the authority as a clan leader and the permission from both clan to take Mikoto as his wife. Postponing marriage simply because of hesitation or others made no sense, especially with war looming on the horizon. If tomorrow was uncertain, then today had to be decisive.
The only reason he had waited until now was simple and deeply personal preference. He wanted to wait until both of them become adult, which is eighteen years old.
In his mind, eighteen marked the true boundary between recklessness of teenagers and responsibility of the adult. Below that age, they are not ready for a responsible, mistakes were often forgiven, and even in modern era crimes commit by minor are not the same like adult did. But once someone crossed that 18 years old line, you will be punished with the law.
Raiken had waited and 2 years had gone too fast and now he was ready.

Wedding Hall – Konohagakure
The following morning, the Uzumaki Clan residence buzzed with activity.
Japanese weddings differed greatly from those of other cultures. Westerners favored coats and dresses for their ceremonies, while the Chinese traditionally wore red garments that shows joy. In contrast, Japanese wedding attire centered on white an emblem of purity and new beginnings.
The bride attire was known as the Shiromuku, a pure white, heavy silk kimono symbolizing cleanliness and devotion. The groom wore a Montsuki Haori Hakama, a formal black silk kimono adorned with family crests.
Red banners embroidered with spiral patterns fluttered gently in the breeze, while Uchiha fans decorated the opposite walls, symbols not of rivalry, but of unity. Although marriages between the two clans had occurred in the past few months, but this time is the unity of two clan leader.
The wedding was grand, far exceeding what most shinobi ceremonies could ever afford.
Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Uzumaki Scroll Shop and the revolutionary Nerve Gear sealing devices, Raiken had long secured a steady stream of income. As both shareholder and inventor, he received annual dividends large enough to rival those of noble families. Yet despite his wealth, he never hoarded it.
Most of his earnings were poured directly back into the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans.
Today was no exception, more than two hundred cows and over a thousand lambs were prepared for the feast, their meat transformed into countless dishes. The cooking was handled by women from both clans, working side by side in an enormous outdoor kitchen, as the hours passed, they are cooking together very happily.
Raiken did not leave the womans alone, he didn't want them to cook the food entirely based on tradition.
Using the system, he purchased several top-tier recipes from the future, flavors the present era had never experienced. He personally trained the cooks, guiding them patiently, adjusting spices, explaining techniques using a modern stove and refining textures until each dish reached perfection.
The result was nothing short of astonishing.
Even seasoned clan elders, who had tasted banquets prepared in daimyo kitchens, were left speechless after the first bite. The balance of flavors, the tenderness of the meat, and the unfamiliar yet addictive combinations sent murmurs rippling through the crowd.
After the wedding, words spread quickly that the wedding between Raiken and Mikoto feast are very delicious. It should be called the wedding of century, but that is happen after the wedding and right now they are enjoying it.
Soon, the guests were no longer limited to the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans alone. Other clans of Konoha arrived, Raiken had become friend with all the clan even from Hyuga and Shimura Clan.
Others people come out of curiosity, others out of genuine respect. Even civilians were invited but they are from families of police officers, administrators, and support staff who helped keep the village running.
For once, there was no clear divide between shinobi and civilians.
Everyone ate under the same sky, laughter echoed across the courtyard as children chased one another between tables. Elderly shinobi shared food while recounting battles long past. Even those who had once doubted the alliance between Uzumaki and Uchiha found themselves relaxing, this wedding make even shinobi forgot the war that getting closer.
Mikoto wore a traditional robe woven with subtle spiral patterns and fan motifs, symbolizing the merging of their bloodlines. Her expression was calm, yet her eyes shone with quiet determination. Standing beside her, Raiken felt something rare settle in his chest.
Peace and love
Not the fragile peace of treaties or political balance, but the warmth of belonging.

Fear lingered among them, but it was carefully buried beneath ambition and desperation. Every one of them knew the truth that the daimyō of their respective nations had provided generous funding. Their weapons were upgraded and brand new, supplies were plentiful, and shinobi who once hesitated to fight Konoha now marched forward.
Even Hanzō of the Salamander had received support from Rengoku, the fire Daimyo. Unlike the original timeline, these resources had pushed him and his forces to heights far beyond what Konoha intelligence had investigate.
Eventhough, the other villages had grown so much stronger, but Konoha has Uzumaki Clan and their bountiful of third level healing scroll.
Not just that, the removal of Danzo from Elder Position and Root leaders, make many potential shinobi grow even stronger. Without his interference, countless talented shinobi were finally free to grow, upgrade their abilities and reach their full potential.
Yet this progress came with a cost, without Danzō secret operations, underground networks, and morally questionable contingencies, Konoha had lost a weapon it had relied on for decades in original timeline.
Also because of this war, Danzo who was home prison become happy because other people fight for their life and he can happily enjoy the moment of peace with his wife and son.
He had lost his motivation to become the leader of Konoha.
