Tonight Chase been wanting to take her to the cave, and when they went there, it was so beautiful, there were red roses everywhere.
She turned to Chase and jumped into his arms, "What do I owe all of this?"
He kissed her and pulled back. He took out a ring, "This is a promise ring, I love you and only you."
Storm could not believe her ears, "You love me?"
"I love you more than you will ever know."
She watched him put on the ring and could not believe that the one thing she had always waited for would happen.
"I love you too, Chase, I know that you know that already."
"How can I not?"
That night at the cave, the lovemaking was very different, the need, the desperation, the fact that they knew how they felt about each other.
This was all magical, and I loved the feel of him in every way. Storm and Chase lay in his bed the following night.
She could not help but look at the ring that he had given her. Now that she knew that he loved her, nothing could break them apart.
Today, Chase had dropped her off at her friend's, and he had given her clear instructions on how to avoid getting attacked.
They had to lock their door very early tonight and wait for him when he arrived. They sat in the living room when the doorbell rang.
"Who is it?"
"Natalie."
They were surprised to hear her and opened the door cautiously. "Why are you here?"
"I thought Storm here would love to hear something about her Chase beloved."
"Stop playing, Natalie. If you have something to say, then say it."
"I think it would be better if you see it yourself."
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
"Have you not wondered why you haven't seen Chase today?"
"No…."
"Then you should come with me."
"How can I trust you?"
"Believe me, you can."
She could see that Natalie was actually being honest, "Fine, but if anything happens to me, call Chase."
Meghan and Paige seemed to be both contemplating,
"I will be fine."
They headed out, and they ran through the night, out of the property. They went to a wooded area, and she started to wonder if she had made the right choice by following Natalie.
They got to a crowd of people, and there she saw Chase's father, and he saw her, "Tonight I'm glad to announce my son's engagement with Kelsey."
Storm could not believe her eyes when Chase and Kelsey came out, and they kissed. Her stomach dropped, and tears were on the surface.
"You see, I was right."
Chase seemed to follow his father's gaze, and his eyes found hers. He seemed to be panicked, but she looked away and dashed.
She did not want to be around anyone; she got back to the property, not caring what would happen to her.
Storm ran into the cave and yelled out. She screamed, cried, and felt used, sick, and clutched her heart; the pain was too much to bear.
When would this get easy? All the lies that he had said to her, he had no shame, trying to hide something this huge.
When she was all cried out, she was still shaking, and hoped this was all a nightmare that she would wake up from...…
"Storm, Storm...…."
She opened her eyes, and it was Chase, in his tux. She pushed away from him when it all came raining down on her,
"I can explain."
"I don't want to hear it, okay, you make me sick."
"Please......"
"How long did you think you could hide this from me? I was just your toy."
"You know that I don't view you like that."
"Don't you? Don't you? You used me and wasted my time, Chase! Why would you tell me you love me?" She gulped back some tears.
"I do love you, Storm. You're the only person that I have loved. I just could not get away from the engagement."
"So why win me back, just to betray me? That is why Kelsey was always laughing at me."
"I was going to figure it out."
"Figure out what, Chase? Cheating can never be excused."
"I know that."
"To add on, you really did this behind my back; you make me sick."
"Don't......"
"Don't know what Chase? You have lost me, and don't ever bother me again."
"Please, can you just understand me?"
She scoffed, "You and I, there will never be any understanding or coming back from this."
"I don't love her; you are the only one I love."
"So you want me to be your mistress?"
"No, I just need to find a loophole."
"You thought you did, Chase, by being engaged to Kelsey and keeping me in the dark like a fool, everyone knew but me."
"I needed some time to make you understand."
"There is no understanding, I'm not going to ever forgive you for this Chase."
She started to walk away when he grabbed her hand, pulled her in, and kissed her, she struggled but he would not let her go.
When she stilled, he pulled back, and she slapped him hard, and again, "Don't ever touch me again, and on top of that, you kiss me after kissing her. You make me sick."
With that, Storm ran out of the cave and wished this was all a dream, but she knew it was not; she had just lost the love of her life.
The voice in the forest was calling out to her, and she did not care who they were as she followed the voice and scent calling out to her.
Dangerous or not, she did not care.
