Chapter 93 - The Queen listens to the novel

Doreen had many friends in London. Mr. Mortimer loved her deeply and followed her everywhere, but Doreen looked down upon the wealthy man, who owned several estates belonging to the Duke of Mounttheron.

Alyssa, on the other hand, did not own a variety of dresses to wear whenever guests arrived. Her clothes were old and worn.

When the duke came to the vicarage, he visited Elisa's house, where he sat with her, her father, and Doreen. Elisa captured the attention of everyone who saw her, despite the simplicity of her dress and home.

Later, at the request of the duke and his aunt, the family visited the duke's grand palace to see his magnificent house and vast gardens. When Alyssa arrived, Aunt Vic was waiting to receive them. She welcomed Alyssa warmly and was greatly impressed by her.

Doreen tried in many ways to win the duke's heart, but Elisa's humility, along with the elegance she gained from wearing the late duchess's dress, gave her a unique beauty and grace that touched the duke deeply.

In the end, he fell in love with her and chose her to become his wife.
