"Hmm?"
Hearing Florentine mention his name all of a sudden, Xervei paused for a bit as he allowed the nebulous energy surrounding his hand to remain in place.
Though, after seeing how she was signaling for him to stop, the man quickly dispelled the energy he had gathered before looking at her with a slight frown.
"Are the rewards not the reason why you brought him here, Aunt Florentine?" he asked, scratching the back of his head. "You do know how much energy it takes for me to condense a body, right?"
"That's 3rd great-grandaunt to you, young man," scolded Florentine in return. "Then again, is there a need to call me that way? You've called me by my first name in front of Valyr already."
At those words, Xervei went silent for a bit, trying to recall where he had done just that.
Then again, it did not take long for him to remember, considering that the only time he mentioned her by name was before he planned on giving Valyr his due rewards.
