Thea watched with bated breath as Gilbert the snake swallowed up every statue in the backyard.
Once they had all settled within his stomach, he performed some sort of strange wiggle that looked a lot like stretching.
When it was seemingly satisfied, the serpent unhinged it's jaw again and vomited all of the bodies inside of it onto the lawn. Only now, they were no longer statues.
They were people, some of them humanoid and others a kind of alien.
But all of them were covered in the stomach acids of a magical white snake the size of a lamp post.
"Eww..."
Gilbert the snake stared at Thea rather hard.
"...Sorry. I meant to say thank you."
The serpent passed it's forked tongue through the air before disappearing in a puff of white smoke.
"Ugh..."
"How..."
"I'm sticky in places that I should not be sticky in..."
