Minato blew up all the puppets in a short time once he began advancing with his fists coated in Armament Haki.
Moving his body with light, his attacks, fast and precise, began to devastate everything, using a slight internal burst of the Haki he was already developing.
He simply made the puppets explode one after another, while they shattered across the ground.
His students watched as he finished destroying every last one of them at high speed, he did not stop until nothing remained but debris scattered through the corridors.
More than 500 puppets simply destroyed in a matter of minutes.
"Well, that's over.", he said, clapping one hand against the other as if he were cleaning dust from them, approaching the queen's room once again.
Queen Sēramu was at the door still wrapped in her coat, along with Minato's three students, in addition to a clone Minato had left with the intention of protecting her if necessary.
His students stared at him. Even though Kakashi tried to hide it, there were eyes full of admiration — he had easily devastated all those puppets. Demonstrating, in fact, his real power, beyond simply decapitating Jonins.
"Well, we're done here. Now let's see the princess.", said Minato.
Then he stopped.
His eyes widened.
He felt the disturbance in space through his Haki.
'This...? It can't be possible, could it...?', his mind worked quickly, shocked, upon receiving that information through his sensory abilities.
"Did something happen, sensei?", noticing something wrong with their sensei standing still, they asked.
"Yes... I'll leave the clone with you, we need to remove the queen from here, meanwhile I'll check something. I'll be back soon, and I'll bring Princess Sara with me. Is that alright, queen?", he said to Sēramu.
The woman nodded quickly, and Minato disappeared the next moment.
He appeared at the top of one of the buildings where he had already left a Hiraishin seal. He looked in the direction from which he felt the disturbance in space and advanced.
Jumping into the air, he finally saw the location and there were two people arguing.
He transformed into light, advancing like a shooting star and stopping in front of them — a blond and an older man. They quickly noticed the beam of light coming and illuminating the place to the point of blinding them slightly.
'Yamato... and Naruto.', Minato thought, staring at the two.
The blond widened his eyes upon seeing him, surprised, perhaps familiar with Minato's appearance. Yamato, on the other hand, was completely shocked, as if he were seeing a ghost.
Their reaction already told Minato a lot. "So that's how it is...", he murmured.
He knew they were not the Naruto and Yamato of that world. He could perceive it by sensing, within Naruto, a dense chakra, full of hatred, filling him. That was not the Kurama inside Kushina — the one he planned to pass on to Naruto in the future. That beast was filled with anger and hatred.
And she noticed his gaze upon her, and hatred came immediately after.
'Fourth Hokage!' Kurama growled as if he were one of the people she hated the most.
From Naruto Uzumaki's point of view, in turn, he was having a day full of strange things.
First, they had gone on a mission with him, Kakashi-sensei, Sai, Sakura and Captain Yamato, exploring the ruins of an ancient city while chasing Mukade, a suspicious ninja that Konoha wanted to capture.
Until he, suddenly, activated something in the middle of the ruins and a glow appeared, both Mukade, as well as Naruto and Captain Yamato, were swallowed by an unknown force.
When they realized it, they were at the top of a giant building, in the middle of a huge city full of skyscrapers.
As they looked around, their eyes widened upon seeing that the city was populated by thousands of people walking through the streets.
Captain Yamato began to explain that, somehow, they were in Rōran — a place he had only seen in records before that mission.
Naruto, obviously, did not believe that, and so they began an argument. Yamato said that they should be worried about somehow being in the past, while Naruto insisted that they were somewhere else, that it did not make sense and that his sensei was being foolish.
Obviously, Yamato did not like hearing that, and so they continued arguing.
That was until, suddenly, both of them felt someone approaching. When they looked, a beam of light came toward them, shining brighter than the sun itself.
Naruto immediately jumped back along with Yamato, preparing to fight.
When the light dissipated, a young man — only a few years older than Naruto — appeared. His blond hair swayed softly as he looked at the two with a gaze full of curiosity.
Naruto stared at him with a perplexed look. He was very similar to him... somehow. And this stranger wore a Leaf Village headband, but Naruto did not remember ever seeing someone like that in the village...
He would certainly have remembered someone so similar to him, but in a slightly cooler version to the point that even Sakura might fall in love.
Naruto quickly dismissed those thoughts, and at the same time, he noticed that Captain Yamato seemed frightened, widening his eyes as he stared at the blond.
The young man looked at Yamato, then Naruto, but seemed to see beyond that. It was as if he were looking directly inside him — and Kurama responded with a faint, ferocious growl.
Was she irritated?
Seeing that no one said anything, Naruto looked at Yamato. "Who is he, Captain Yamato?", he asked.
But Yamato did not answer Naruto or look at him, he just stared at Minato. "I-it's... it's really you... the Fourth Hokage...?", Yamato stammered.
Naruto turned again to the stranger, analyzing him. The hair was the same as the statue among the faces... "Wait, wait... FOURTH HOKAGE, DATTEBANE?!", Naruto shouted, hysterical.
The stranger just gave a small smile. "There is no Fourth Hokage in the village yet, Yamato... but I must say, I remember you being just a brat before I left the village. I wonder how you are here and have grown so much."
Naruto was completely perplexed by that conversation.
"It can't be... so we really are in the past? Are we actually talking to the Fourth Hokage... or a version of him, a bit younger!?", Yamato was still somewhat dazed, still trying to process everything. He seemed quite worried about it.
"It seems so...", that man did not seem shaken, he was quite calm, much more than Naruto and Yamato.
"But I wonder... if this is just a matter of time travel... but at the same time, it's not that simple...", said Minato, now with a more serious tone.
"Wait, wait! What is this story about time travel?!", Naruto raised his voice again. "Are you saying this guy is really the Fourth Hokage?! Are we in the past?! This guy must be what, four years older than me at most! How are you so sure about this, Yamato-sensei?!"
Minato looked at Naruto. Somehow, he seemed a little intimidated by the intense gaze of the blond, even though this possible Fourth Hokage did not show hostility. He only gave a small smile, which made everything even stranger. There was warmth in that smile.
"Well, I know you have a lot to talk about and we certainly have a big problem here, you are out of your timeline, but how about we meet up with the others? Come with me.", said Minato.
He then turned and leaped from one skyscraper to another.
"Captain...?!", Naruto called.
Naruto immediately moved closer to Yamato.
"I don't know what's happening, Naruto... but it's him, there's no doubt. And if there's someone we can trust, it's definitely the Fourth Hokage.", said Yamato firmly.
Naruto nodded and followed him in silence, he had to admit that instead of acting like the hysterical Naruto or the frightened Yamato, that blond had a presence that marked Naruto the moment he saw him for the first time.
He was calm, confident, even with the bizarre situation, he did not seem to panic, Naruto had never seen someone like that, not even the Ero-Sennin, Kakashi-sensei or even the Old Hokage, that man exuded more confidence than all of them combined!
Then he followed Captain Yamato, as they jumped after Minato to the nearest building to the main palace in the center of the city.
Minato's clone, obviously, had already teleported the queen and his students, using a Hiraishin seal, leaving everyone in a safer place, with the palace so compromised.
Minato went straight there, it being a hideout, in case he needed to return to Rōran quickly. It was one of the safe points he had prepared.
The people inside the place were surprised to see Minato arriving with two other people coming behind him.
There were the queen and his three students in one corner, while the clone observed the city through the window.
"Wait... this...?", the clone could not help but be stunned upon seeing Yamato and Naruto landing behind Minato. The clone did not have Haki, so he did not know what the original was doing, but as an extension of Minato's memories, he knew who they were immediately.
"Yes... I found these two. They came from the future and, somehow, ended up here.", said Minato, shrugging as he spoke about something so delicate in such a casual way.
He simply was not going to take all that care that Minato had in the movie, what was the point if later they would find out anyway, Minato could use a fuinjutsu to erase everyone's memories about the future at the end.
Everyone else in the room widened their eyes, while the queen became even more confused.
They did not even have time to react, because, in the next moment, another of Minato's clones appeared carrying the princess in his arms.
"Get me out of here!", Sara started shouting, startling everyone who was still dazed.
The clone received a slap and disappeared, making Sara fall to the ground, since there was nothing holding her anymore.
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!", Sara began to complain about the pain from the fall, before her mother ran to her.
"Sara!", said the queen, hugging her.
"Mom... what's going on? Were you kidnapped too? I was walking around when they pulled me and brought me here!!", said Sara, confused.
"No, Sara... you were not kidnapped. They are trying to kill us in the palace, but we were helped by a brave ninja. The same one you hit!", explained the queen.
Sara looked around, still dazed, seeing everyone facing each other like two opposing groups.
Naruto and Yamato were near the open window, while Minato's three students stared at them from the other side.
"Hey... I know who they are... wait... doesn't that look like Kakashi-sensei, dattebane?", Naruto moved closer to Yamato and asked in a low voice.
Yamato looked at him as if he were an idiot. "Of course that is Kakashi-sensei. But it's Kakashi from the past!", he replied.
"Wait... sensei said they come from the future... doesn't he look like Yamato?", said Obito, pointing before starting to laugh.
"He looks so old! And look at that other one... he looks like Minato-sensei!", Obito laughed and pointed at Naruto.
Yamato was confused. He did not know Obito or Rin — after all, even though he had heard about them, at the time, Yamato was in Danzō's Root. There was no way he could have met them before.
Even so, he could not help but stare at the two, because they were very important to Kakashi, always visiting Konoha's Memorial Monument with their names engraved there.
Kakashi, in turn, stared at Yamato, while Naruto looked at Kakashi — Kakashi ignored it, since he did not know Naruto yet at that point in the timeline.
"Kakashi...", Yamato murmured. He was a bit confused.
This Kakashi seemed to know him, Obito was laughing at him, but Obito or Kakashi should not know him yet, after all, they would only meet years later when Kakashi joined the Anbu, and Obito was dead!
Minato first approached the queen and the princess, but still attentive to that strange situation among everyone.
"Well, I apologize for that.", Minato approached, offering his hand to the queen, who took it without hesitation, showing a blush on her face. Then helping the princess to stand up, despite her strange look at her mother and at the bizarre situation there, it was as if the royalty of Rōran did not matter at all in what was happening... And Sara wanted to scream asking for explanations.
Sara only held herself back because she saw her mother seeming quite open toward the blond.
Minato left the royalty and finally went to deal with the situation. He first looked at his students.
"As you can see, strange things have been happening today. These two individuals came from the future... perhaps about twenty years ahead. I have not made the exact calculations yet.", said Minato, pausing.
He then turned his attention back to Yamato and Naruto. "I know you must have many questions, but how about we start by understanding how this happened?", Minato asked.
"We were in the ruins of Rōran, chasing a missing-nin when—", Yamato began to answer, but was interrupted by the queen.
"Ruins?! What are you talking about?!", she shouted.
Minato raised his hand, interrupting her. "Wait. There is something wrong here. Rōran will not be destroyed in this timeline, so there is no reason for you to expect the same thing from the parallel timeline. Our timeline is different from yours.", he explained.
"What do you mean?", Yamato asked, surprised, trying to understand that mystery.
"Yamato, tell me... were you ever trained by Tsunade when you were a child?", Minato asked.
The immediate question made Yamato frown. "Tsunade-sama never trained me, much less when I was a child."
"Then that means you have been in Root from the beginning..." Yamato darkened his gaze at the Fourth Hokage's comment.
"Tell me something else. Did Tsunade have a daughter in your timeline?", Minato continued.
That was one of the most visible differences between the original world and that alternate world.
"A daughter...? No. Tsunade never had children.", Yamato answered.
Minato also noticed the strange looks from the children. "That's what I thought... you did not just return to the past. You also entered a parallel world.", he concluded.
"Parallel world?!", Naruto seemed impressed.
"The first thing I noticed was the Kurama inside you, Naruto. She is not the same Kurama from this world.", said Minato.
That made Yamato widen his eyes again. He knew the name Kurama, but even so, he knew very well what Minato was talking about.
Naruto, confused, suddenly felt a sharp pain in his stomach, making him bend over. Kurama was agitated.
'Fourth Hokage...!', the fox growled inside the cage in Naruto's consciousness. 'How do you know my name?' He shouldn't know your true name, not in a version that should not be so young... where he should not have the second half of the fox sealed within him.
"Do not be so irritated, Kurama.", Minato replied directly to the fox, surprising her by showing that he could hear her clearly, even while she was inside Naruto.
No one in the room could hear it, so every pair of eyes, except Naruto's, looked at him talking to himself.
Naruto began to writhe even more, while Yamato showed concern. Minato, on the other hand, remained calm.
"As I said, we are in a different world. Your version here... has already made peace with my wife.", Minato revealed.
"Kushina and you work together in this world."
"Impossible!", Kurama shouted, indignant.
How could she be making a deal with her jailer? Kurama hated Kushina even before being sealed inside Naruto. No version of her, from any parallel world, would ever make an agreement with Kushina, no matter what kind of alternate timeline that was.
Minato, in turn, just sighed mentally.
"You are too similar in some ways, Kurama. The only thing I ask is that you calm down. Roaring will not solve anything. I am not the Fourth Hokage who sealed you here and you are hurting my son...", said Minato calmly.
But it was useless. Kurama was completely enraged.
Naruto seemed worried and nervous. He took a step back, but soon fell to the ground, clutching his stomach and screaming in pain. Yamato was already beside him, creating roots like pillars, ready to act in case the fox lost control.
The others watched everything, confused, stunned, and tense with what was happening.
"Let me handle this...", said Minato, speaking directly to Naruto.
In the next instant, he appeared in front of the blond, who was writhing in pain, and placed his hand on his stomach.
Inside the seal, Kurama roared, trying to force the bars, even though it was impossible to break them due to the seal. Naruto had never seen her so furious.
Naruto was on the ground, somewhat drenched, watching Kurama slam against the bars. Then, suddenly, a flash appeared out of nowhere and passed through the sealed bars.
Kurama widened her eyes upon seeing Minato appear inside the cage, beside her snout.
He clenched his fist, which turned completely black, and, in the next instant, delivered a punch straight to her cheek.
The impact sank the fox's face, sending her flying backward with a pain she should not be able to feel.
"Well... since I'll have to calm her down like this, so be it.", said Minato, with a frightening calmness. "It's not like it's the first time I've beaten up a nine-tailed fox, anyway..."
Outside the bars, Naruto just watched, shocked, seeing Kurama being thrown back while that strange blond advanced toward her.
