"We want to make the contract of binding." He said and Shen Xu gasped in surprise.

The contract of binding was not a slave or servitude contract. However, it was still a contract between a superior and an inferior.
Most importantly, the inferior party was absolutely loyal and could never betray the superior party but the counterpart had no such restrictions.
In essence, Dongfang Jing and Chen Yi would be loyal to Shen Xu for an eternity but the double wasn't obliged to never betray.
