Sky was now walking alongside terra and lily as they waited in line to enter the kingdom, grey saw from a distance they were inspecting some sort of cards and exchanging the soul beans grey heard about earlier.
grey was poking his ears out of the bag lily had him hiding in but still scanned the area but he felt something weird coming from Sky, so he used his lost whisper to send his words directly to her alone.
"I know you can change your hair into clouds but even now as your hair is normal it feels different from everyone else's, why?"
sky was slightly startled at the question but whispered so only grey could hear her "that's because my love family was born with the gift to naturally control every strand of our hair like it was a muscle, that might be what you were sensing as it wasn't a rune or ability just a bloodline trait.
grey thought about what she said really hard 'So because she can naturally control her hair like a muscle, but this caused his echolocation to feel as her hair was denser than everyone else's for some strange reason.'
As the three girls gossiped and talked about random thing grey continued to send out sonic pulses no one else could hear to study everything in his surroundings.
"Hmm, I scanned everything and almost everything reacts slightly differently as if they are all similar but unique like a special song for each material" he muttered to himself.
once they got close to the gate grey started scanning his own body repeatedly until he could hear the vibrations of energy coursing in his body and something fainter but deeper.
"So, sky have you been here before?" lily asked curiously with a bright smile.
sky chuckled at the girl's enthusiasm "Kind of I visited when the old Ars kingdom was here i was visiting a good friend of mine, Your aunt Lilian evergreen."
lily looked confused for a moment as the only family she knew was her dad and her deceased mother.
sky shook her head in resignation as the face lily made showed her confusion. "Ok listen up there are about five royale elf families each one is close to a divine being. the origin family who worship Apo and lux, the evergreen family who follow the hydra, the Norris family who follow glory, us the Love family who follow mimosa vibes and finally your fallen wright family who follow Selena."
"I know my family has fallen on hard times since my mother died but why wouldn't they visit me or my dad talk about them?"
sky looked around to make sure no one was ease dropping while terra was just listening to this gossip with a face of great interest.
"Your dad and his sister betrayed the evergreen family."
both terra and lily's eyes widened in shock as sky continued.
"Your aunt Lilian marred a dwarf, so she was kicked out and your father married wright and took their family name which enraged the evergreen family giving them no control over the family because the wright family all died out in battle except for two of their daughters your mother funga wright and twin sister Rose wright those were they only family he was close to but your aunt disappeared before you were born leaving your father to raise you the last true wright heir alone."
lily had the urge to ask, "Do you know what happened to them?"
sky gave lily a crooked smile well you fathers sister Lilian was in Old Ars kingdom when it fell to a hoard of monsters from within, so she probably died as for your mother's twin sister she aided in a rebellion with man she loved but after she was rejected she disappeared."
lily's bright and usually cheerful mood was now downcast at the new family lore she found out her father's family was alive but wanted to use her and the only family on her mother's side has disappeared.
lily quickly shook her "No i refuse to believe it." which earned her an eyebrow from her companions, so she continued "you only said my aunts disappeared so there is nothing wrong with believing in the possibility that they are still alive."
while tried to persuade lily on her naive thought's terra noticed something near the gate every time some was checked and passed through the gate a light scanned them as they entered the castle walls causing a strange dull white light flashed in a room by the inspectors.
it was only when an old man passed by the gate causing the light to glow black did she realize they were looking for something.
when it was finally their turn sky gave their id cards while the guard eyed terra strangely "you better keep that creature under control!" the guard said loudly pointing at terra leaving the girl to silently clench her fists
sky just nodded as she led the girls into the castle walls, they were so occupied talking about the guard's crappy attitude they didn't realize how quiet it became as the left. For the moment they passed by the scanner the lights in the guard's lounge lit up four times in colors never seen before it glowed golden twice, black once and finally lit up in a mix of black and red.
"sir, do we stop those girls or do we report this?" a younger guard asked to an older man drinking out of a flask.
"Leave them be Buck, they are stuck in this kingdom anyways, so we just report it and let those big wigs earn their pay for once."
"Is that so?" came a robotic female voice from behind the man. when the man turned around, he surprisingly saw a tall muscular red android lady with long white hair and a glass helmet that showed a neon wolf smiling at the man.
he immediately jumped out of his seat and saluted the android lady "lady Pax gold of the pride unit I salute you!" the man nearly screamed
"do you know the significance of those lights?" she questioned the man.
"Of course, any light other than white could lead to danger for us all as they are powerful figures that can put our new kingdom in jeopardy!"
"HEY! melek i know you're listening through the cameras can you report their source cores to me so I can make counter measures."
a cheeky voice rung out from the walls in the speakers "it is very fascinating sister as we got two gold cores traveling with a black one."
the lead officer watched as a purple curvy android figure slowly walked out of a digital screen Somone left on the table with a light display of colors and numbers.
"Strange but not unheard-of lust why would that be so fascinating?" pax questioned.
"that's the thing there was only three of them, but a fourth signature popped up displaying a mix of red and black which is unheard of.
the neon wolf display on pax golds mask disappeared as she stared at melek eros "are you sure? if so, this hidden entity could harm the kingdom or worse lady Envy."
"Already on it I got a few of my children watching over them, I can watch their every move and I'm pulling up camera feeds from before they entered it seems like one of them was whispering to thin air while the other two just talked... wait a minute I'm picking up strange sonic reading the moment the girl stopped talking to this air."
pax looked calm as she heard this "it seems like the hidden creature and use sounds, so any confidential info is not to be spoken aloud only uploaded the seven sister's server."
melek nodded "I have a Visual on three of them ill upload it to our sever with our current information until we are sure of what we are dealing with." melek eros soon hoped into another screen turning into digital particles.
pax gold turned invisible as she disappeared leaving the guards to breathe out a heavy sigh of relief now that their bosses have left.
as melek was in cyber space going through all the files to see if any matched the three girls a single match appeared with a picture of lily with white skin and minty green hair. melek compared it to lily's dark brown skin and dark green hair "hmm, she is either a relative of the traitor Lilian or the traitor herself disguised." after analyzing the other two photos she sent them to the server.
deep in the inner castle a small figure was awoken by a notification on her tablet the figure rose from her velvet sheets and checked what was sent only for her eyes to widen in shock reviling fully bright pink with no other color. "Found you!" she whispered in an alluring voice contrasting her short height.
sky led terra and lily to a nearby inn to rest in for the day unaware what their mere presence has brought them. while sky lead them through the maze-like city terra and lily were watching in amazement of all the stuff around them.
they walked by a store selling soul beans for minerals run by a robot, a place selling something called hard light boards, and finally something called red light minigames, but sky would not let them go and when they tried anyways, they were dragged away by the scuff of their collars.
"aren't we here to protect lily why am I also being dragged like a child? I should be allowed to wander on my own."
sky just sighed deeply "this isn't the place for a human to wander around unattended, since many don't really like you and we can't have any problems while we are or else we will get kicked out before we complete our mission.
they finally arrived at a place called jewels inn; they stared in amazement at the wide building the extended up to nine floors.
"I think this is bigger than your mansion?" terra muttered in surprise "Sky are you sure we can afford this, i mean this looks like something... expensive and out of budget.''
sky chuckled "don't worry Mr. Veils took some money from lily's dad so we would have a budget." the two stared at in in disbelief at her words. "Don't look at me he said it was to prevent your father from giving everything leaving the estate in chaos."
they thought about and it seemed like something he would do, the three got a single room with three beds despite the cries of lily to get a single large bed as if it was a sleep over.
when the got to the room it was a decently sized room with all the essentials, nothing too fancy the only odd thing about the were three egg like things in the corner of the room by the windows.
"What are those?" lily asked as terra checked the food pantry and started eating almost immediately.
"I believe those are lucid pods? they act like a machine that creates a game like world in your dreams, or something called cyber space and you can play games with others while sleeping." sky explained fondly as if reminiscing about her youth.
"Ooh, hey grey let's try these out... grey where are you?" lily looked around but couldn't find the chaotic rabbit.
"Terra poked her head out from the pantry "Oh grey he is in a mental awakening state in your bag still, he'll most likely finish up by midnight judging by his current progress." she finished while stuffing her face.
lily turned to sky for elaboration "A metal awakening is something most creatures go through where they understand their element more deeply, so their very self combines with that element giving them more knowledge and control while sometimes changing their personality. its not dangerous but he'll be a bit unstable at first as hell show signs of his old personality and his new one until he finds a balance between the two."
lily stared in amazement at the bag she threw on the bed "I wonder what he understood and what caused it?"
lily let out a deep and primal yawn as she was only now realizing how tired she was "I think I'm just going to rest tonight we can come up with a plan later." sky nodded while terra gave a thumbs up from across the room.
later that night grey awoke exactly at midnight only to find himself in an unfamiliar area but when he scanned the area his sensing the entire neighborhood instead of just the room he was in.
with some focus he concentrated on the room he was currently in and noticed terra and lily sleeping while sky was in a metal egg pod. curiously grey stepped into one near sky
inside the machine it put grey to sleep using sounds and lights.
the moment he blinked heavily he awoke in a dark space in a humanoid rabbit man body, when he looked in the mirror, he was now he was basically a light skinned human with no muscles, his messy grey hair showed how he lived while his floppy rabbit ears were the only reminder of his true species.
"Woah I have thumbs now, this feels so uncomfortable, but this space feels similar to my lucid lab it must be a dream space like mine except anyone can enter this one using that metal egg." he thought aloud as he spawned into a small village some elven creature approached him.
"Hello there traveler welcome to our tutorial would you like to skip to the fighting."
grey stared at the grey silently for a bit before speaking "Why not I don't really know where here is so some info wouldn't hurt."
at the same time melek eros got a notification on her tablet that the red and black energy has been found in her game causing her to jump up in surprise "Holy Mouse! I found you!"
she soon disappeared into the screen and entered the game universe appearing in an all-black castle and entered what was obviously the final boss room.
"Quinn! pull your pants up I got a mission for you."
a figure sitting on the throne quickly got rid of a few displays he had open before him as he knelt before melek "mother eros how may this creation be of use to you!"
the figure was covered in shadows but only two things about him stood out his empty white eyes and the two large wings on his back.
"We have a high-class anomaly within the ga- Ahem I mean a dangerous individual has entered your world i need you to carefully approach the creature.''
'' it shall be done by this humble servant my lady."
the figure stood up and opened many displays until greys new avatar appeared before them "that one. watch over it carefully and find out what it is planning by any means necessary."
