"Killing people at the slightest provocation is really too impolite." The man drinking didn't even turn his head but instead tossed the wine in his hand.
The splashed wine solidified in mid-air, neither falling nor spreading further.
Motionless.
Crack!
The barrier formed by the wine shattered.
The man didn't fall but filled another cup with wine and continued drinking.
"I've given you enough face and enough reason to live," he said coldly, downing the bowl of wine and standing up to look at the True Lord of Nine Heavens, "but you, yourself, do not appreciate it, thus I have no choice but to kill you."
"I have a rule." The man, hands behind his back, wearing a black cloak and a conical hat, stepped towards the True Lord of Nine Heavens.
"I never kill ordinary people. I only kill... those who attack me."
"And you just happen to meet my criteria."
"But I am a follower of God, thus more merciful. Before you die, I give you a chance for forgiveness and repentance."
