Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the Burion plane, which used to be a magus colony, magical creatures were numerous. Giant Sea Lions could create soul dissonance with their war cries, demonic foxes could eat prey ten times their size with their elemental tails, and worse than all, dragons dominated the skies, establishing whole regions as their territory.

Yet, these creatures lacked something that humanoid races possessed: intellect.

Despite their overwhelming strength, the Burion plane was divided in five areas. Humans in the North in the Empire of Swadia. Elves in the Emerald Forests of the West. Dwarves in the Iron Mountain Range of the South. Lizard Folks in the Eastern Mud Swamps. And Orcs in the central plains.

As for Dragons and other magical creatures, they were either prey or lived in isolation.

However, there were other races. Some called them "sub-race" because they were never part of the world's power. Races that lacked the human legacy of old magi that once conquered the Burion plane, the immense elven legacy that could be tracked more than 30 000 years back to the past, the innate belligerent nature of orcs, the smithing talent of dwarves or the savagery of lizard folks.

Murlocs in the seas that had frail bodies and served as food to ocean predators.

Goblins throughout the central continent and islands preying on the weak but too lazy to have any ambition.

Imps that lacked the strength or potential to withstand any decent warrior of any of the five races.

However, in a small island in the Northern Sea, there was one goblin soul that was aiming at changing the world order...

Gurk.
