There are plenty of directors in the hospital, whether it's deputy chief physicians, chief physicians, or deputy department directors, department directors, office deputy directors, or office directors—they're all called directors.
Some of these people are quite impressive, while others are just empty titles at the bottom of the heap.
For example, a deputy chief physician focused on research, or some small department's deputy chief physician, even if they're rated as an associate senior title, their status, income, power, and influence are extremely limited.
Outside their department, they might not even be recognized.
These types of directors basically have a bottom-tier existence, having only a bit of status within their own department.
