After the pain vanished, Evelyn Ford looked in the mirror. Her face was flushed and healthy, as if she'd just drunk a super-tonic. She couldn't help but pat her own head.

"Oh, you're still alive." Just as Evelyn Ford stepped out of the bedroom, Eighteen walked out of the kitchen, a surprised look on his face.
