Six lay in his cell as he felt the explosions rock the entirety of UA. Even without opening his eyes, Six knew that this was only a distraction from their real target. Him. Six knew this and didn't even try to warn or struggle to inform anyone who could hear him. As more explosions rocked the school, Six kept a count of how many there were. Finally, Six felt a presence in front of him.
When he finally opened his eyes, he was face to face with the leader of this attack. Covered head-to-toe in full tactical gear and coverings, the person looked at Six as they seemingly talked with someone on the other end of their comm piece. Then, without a word, the person released Six from his prison by waving their hand, and the material crumpled and broke apart.
Six simply dropped down to a knee before standing on his own. His muscles protested after almost four weeks of not moving. But with a crack of his neck, Six righted himself and looked at the person in front of him, saying nothing. Looking at the man, now that Six had a good look at the person, the man nodded his head and gestured for Six to follow.
With a nod, Six began to follow the man as he led Six through the halls. The hollow halls of UA were all filled with red, flashing lights. As they turned the corner at an intersection, they were met with a group of similarly dressed figures. Two were carrying advanced-looking rifles, a third had bulging muscles, and the fourth looked female but had a pistol in her hands.
Six didn't need to know who they were, but he could tell that they were not just here for him alone. Without talking, they began to move with Six in the center of their formation. While Six may have an idea of who these people belonged to, he knew that they were just there to keep an eye on him. Not to subdue him or cuff him, but just to watch him.
Soon they came face to face with a hero running down the halls. It was Ectoplasm, or at least one of his clones. Before it could even act, the female who was leading the formation shot him with her pistol. Thankfully, it was a clone as it dispersed into a green goo. But that was enough to alert the original that something or someone killed a clone.
That's when the group began to jog with Six in the center to wherever they were heading. Six may have been just a tag-along in the group, but he was secretly dropping small spheres as they went. Unknown to the group of people he was with. As they raced through the halls, they encountered more of Ectoplasm's clones trying to slow them down or stop them. However, this was all for nought, as the group mercilessly cut them down as they went.
When they finally reached the outside of the school, they were greeted with the combined might of all the Heroic Department Teachers in a loose formation. At the head of all this was Nezu. He just stared at the group who had freed Six with a curious face. Aizawa, who was waiting in the shadows, kept an eye on how the group was moving. Yagi, with Nezu on his shoulder, looked ready to fight with his life on the line.
However, with a simple raised paw, Nezu called off the teachers. Much to their confusion and anger. Yagi and Aizawa, who made himself known, went to voice their dissatisfaction, but a look from the creature cut them off. Midnight, who was ready to tear and produce her sleeping gas from her skin, really looked like she was about to say something. But Present Mic just grabbed her shoulder and shook his head when she looked at him.
The team of operatives and Six just began to walk away from the teachers when a light shone down on them, followed by a massive, dark figure falling from the sky and landing in front of them. As the dust cleared, it was the imposing form of the X-02 Power Armor with several modifications done to it. Several Tesla Coils were sprouting from the chest and back, while in its hands was a massive, tri-barreled minigun aimed directly at the group.
.
"You're not going anywhere." Veronica's voice called out from the spears in the armor. "Surrender, and you may live with some of your limbs intact."
.
Sparks arced off of the Tesla Coils as Veronica spun up her weapon. The operatives readied themselves to fight when one of the rifle-wielding operatives dropped, their head turning to ash. Six understood that Christine was somewhere in the dark with a Laser rifle, waiting for a reason to end them.
The way it looked, they had no chance to fight through these two who were ready to kill them. But before they could fight, Six calmly walked forward. Veronica looked at Six; her expression was unreadable due to the helmet she wore. But it was then that Six whispered something to her that couldn't be heard by anyone else but her. It was something that she had only heard Six say once before and never since.
Without saying anything, Veronica stopped spinning her weapon and stepped to the side. Something that caught Christine off guard, but trusted Veronica knew what she was doing. It was after she stepped to the side that the operatives moved. They didn't grab their fallen comrade but moved around Six and began to sprint off into the night with him in the center of their new formation.
Once they were gone from sight, Veronica sighed and dropped the minigun before exiting the power armor. Once she was out, her face showed that she wanted to kick and scream at the world. But she kept it in. When the rest of the teachers came over to her and Christine joined them, she broke down in tears. The sob echoed in the night, all due to what Six had told her. Not one of those near her understood why she was like this.
Willow, who had been present with the teachers, looked to Veronica and asked what Six had told her. It took a minute for Veronica to calm down, but when she did, she looked at Willow and only said:
.
"I'm sorry," Veronica whispered, which confused all those who heard.
"What did he say?" Willow asked again.
"Goodbye," Veronica answered. "That's what he said."
.
With that, Willow looked like she had seen a ghost. Her eyes went vacant, and she passed out standing up. Aizawa caught her as she fell.
All of them wondered what that simple word meant to Willow. Some of them wondered if Inko and Mitsuki would act the same if they heard it.
All they knew was that this was the start of a War.
And they had a feeling they knew who.
