Chapter 76 - Japan's War (3)

|The Day After|

.

Six listened to the radio as he waited in the dorm's kitchen, a cup of coffee in one hand and a datapad in the other. Not caring about what he had pulled last night. He had to make sure that his wives were properly 'thanked,' and this was his reprieve from them. As he sat there, drinking his coffee, class 1-A came down, except for two students. Katsuki and Mina noticed their disappearance and went to question Six, only for him to ignore them as they did.

Close to an hour later, the two missing students appeared with red faces and holding hands.

Mina, the first one to see them, squealed in delight. Jiro, having heard Mina's squeal, jumped in fright. Katsuki, having seen them as they rounded the corner into the kitchen, noticed the red faces first, then the hands. His mind worked quickly and figured out what happened almost at once.

.

"Have a good morning, you two?" Six casually called out as he read his datapad.

"Yes, sir," the two mumbled as they refused to look at anyone.

"What did you do?" Katsuki whisper-shouted at Six, not that it was much of a whisper.

"Nothing that they didn't like," Six spoke as he took a sip of coffee, "Isn't that right?"

.

This caused them to blush heavily. Mina, the ever-gossip girl, squealed again. As she went to interrogate them, Kirishima grabbed her to stop her from harassing the new couple. Momo mouthed a thank you to Kirishima as the two love birds went about making themselves breakfast. As the two made themselves breakfast, Kirishima was doing his best to keep Mina away from the two. Finally, Mina used her quirk to slip away from Kirishima and bolted towards Momo, who was mid-bite.

.

"Tell me!" Mina screamed as she grabbed Momo by her shoulders and shook her. "Tell me how it happened! Give me the TEA!"

"Mina, let them eat!" Jiro and Kirishima both shouted, with Jiro holding her ears.

"I'm kinda curious though," Sero muttered, but everyone heard it.

"Do not shout in the dorms!" Ida shouted.

"TEA!" Toru was with Mina as she yelled.

"So much for peace and quiet," Shoji sighed with his head down.

"Agreed," Tokoyami agreed with Shoji.

"Enough," Six said, loud enough to get them to quiet down. "While I know there are those who wish to know what happened, please give them some room to breathe. You have class today and training afterwards, so save your energy for them. As for wanting to know more, ask them on your own time, WITHOUT crowding them. Now, go get ready. All of you."

...

..

.

After Six made sure to get the students to disperse for class, he headed off to check on Disaster. Once he made it to Disaster's lab, he found Nezu there with Elizabeth and Eri. He wasn't surprised by Nezu, as he and Disaster got along. But seeing Elizabeth and Eri here was worrying him. After asking why, he found out that Eri was here to learn how to control her Quirk. As for Elizabeth, she was here as Eri's support and to hand off some of the crystals she could produce with her quirk.

Seeing as this was just testing for Eri, Six sighed in relief. He then decided to stay and watch as well. Once Elizabeth produced as many crystals as she could for Disaster, Eri's quirk control was up next. Disaster guided her into a prepared room and gave her a full-grown plant for her to rewind. Disaster, once he was out of the room, told her to give it a go.

What weirded Six was that Disaster was being gentle with Eri, not his usual attitude.

Eri took a deep breath and slowly started to rewind the plant's time. Soon, the plant became a seedling after a few seconds. Disaster then told her that was enough, and she stopped. Six was pleasantly surprised to see how far Eri had come with controlling her quirk. Nezu nodded his head as he watched, smiling at how far she had come as well. When Eri stepped out of the room, Six strode to her and picked her up, a smile adorning his face.

.

"That was amazing, Eri!" Six told her as he hugged her, "You did great."

"Thanks, grandpa!" Eri spoke as she giggled; she was all smiles.

"Disaster," Six said as he held her, "How far did she go with her quirk?"

"She surpassed my calculations!" He cheerfully told him as he brought out a candied apple for her. "She managed to accurately control how much energy her quirk used and only used what she needed to." He told Six as he handed the candied apple to Eri.

"That's good," Nezu spoke up as he smiled, and Six set Eri down. "Now, Eri, remember what you were taught, and you won't have any more trouble with your quirk."

"Yes, mister Nezu!" Eri smiled and bit into the apple.

"Thank you for keeping her company, Elizabeth," Six spoke to the other girl in the room.

"She's my sister," Elizabeth spoke softly, "It's only right to want to support her. After all, we both went through terrible times."

.

Six said nothing and just patted her head, which caused Elizabeth to pout and push his hand away. She began to mutter something about taking forever to fix her hair. Six just chuckled at that and escorted Nezu and the girls to the elevator since they were done here. Once he got back, Disaster could tell it was all business now.

.

"Disaster," Six started now that they were alone, "How are the preparations coming along?"

"Within a week," Disaster spoke seriously, "They'll be ready. I can guarantee it."

"Good," Six nodded, "With them, we stand a better chance against her."

"Six," Disaster sighed, "They are complete overkill. You may as well just turn the states into another wasteland. Or at least, a time before quirks. Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, I am."
