"I'm doomed! Obā-chan/Okā-san will kill me for this!" Obito and Akio cried out in unison on 'The Hideout'. Both of the poor little dumb heads fantasized what kind of punishments would be levied out on the duo for potentially failing that stupid test, they hugged each other with apprehension as they cried anime tears, unexpectedly discovering a kindred part on their friendly adversity.
Akio's ninken, Kamaharu shook his head. Helpless at his master's trouble, Kurenai found the puppy's act cute, as she lifted the dog off Akio's head to pet it. Asuma was leaning on a tree with a long toothpick on his moth, seeing the dog on Kurenai's grasp, he moved over to play with them.
"Troublesome..." Ensui Nara was laying down under the shades of a tree, he was resting peacefully as he enjoyed the quiet atmosphere when these two friends of his decided to whine so loud. He wanted to scold them, but he decided against it as it would take too much work for him to do, might as well ignore them until they tone it down, that always worked for him.
Shitō Akimichi was sitting beside the laying down Nara as he ate his barbeque-flavored chips on his hand, with their best friend - Santa Yamanaka at the other side watching Obito and Akio with interest.
The portly boy rummaged through his bag of chips, seeing that it was empty, he simply stood up to walking towards his 'tree drawer' that had his clan symbol he carved with a kunai, he injected a bit of chakra on his earing that dangling on his left ear, and with a fade of blue shine, the Fūin Kanji on the tree faded as he then slid open the drawer to get another bag of chips with a different flavor this time after much serious contemplating. After locking his personal tree, he returned to his spot besides the Nara and Yamanaka. He opened the fresh bag of chips as he offered it to his friends. "Chip?"
Ensui noticed he was talking to him and he smiled. "Thanks, Shitō." He reached in and grabbed a few before Shitō gave some to Santa as well. All the three boys seated on their spot as they matches on while Obito and Akio were crying over their rotten fate, Santa Yamanaka watched on as if it was a live drama.
Anko was at the throwing range practicing her expertise at it. She revealed a grin at the weeping duo. "It'll be fine Obito and Akio. Stop worrying about it. I'm sure with the ninjutsu part and throwing points you got on each of you two, you'll be fine."
The duo paused, they had to admit, she was right. They did pretty well with their Shurikenjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. They would be damed if they fail to even do a single simple Bunshin no Jutsu[Clone Technique], Obito specifically, he didn't want to have Kajirama teasing him about it when both him and Rin helped him so many times on that already.
"And what about you?" Akio replied, running a hand at hhis dusty black windbreaker. "We might have that slim chance of passing that... that... that..."
"Accursed?" Kajirama lifted his brow at the side, he was managing some things with his notebook, Fūinjutsu related-context.
"That's the words! Thanks Kajirama." Akio continued. "Yeah, that accursed test. But what about you? You aren't that far as stupid as us Anko, and last time I check you weren't that good at the Bunshin no Jutsu[Clone Technique], besides, you don't have any other jutsus to substitute for it."
Anko gave her friend a deadpanned look. "Don't you remember dull-dog shit? Rin helped me with those, for that substitute you so called, Kakashi and Asuma taught me with something. So worry about yourself."
Akio got interested so he asked curiously. "What's that something?"
"Are you really asking a soon to be kunoichi her arsenal, Akio?" Anko threw a shuriken over her shoulder, her acting cool failed miserably when it didn't even tagged the wooden target board. She grumbled seeing this and continued to remark. "No wonder you're troubled with the written examination, I'll be too if I were you."
"What did you just say to me!?" Akio got angered at her words, he broke out his 'intimate' embrace with Obito as he stood up and showed his fangs at Anko.
"Oh? Are you going feral at me Akio?" Even though Akio knew she was just joking, with the Inuzuka's volatile nature running through his veins, leave it to his genes for his quick-tempered brain to act first than his mouth.
Santa Yamanaka gasped in wonder how the scene changed from crying to arguing with another person, not that he minded, it was the sort of melodrama that he personally preferred.
As the two were quarreling, Obito sat down beside Rin and Kajirama with an annoyed huff. Afterwards, he grumbled as imaginary clouds hovered above his head, then he pulled out his hair in frustration, how could he have fallen asleep when he have finally decided to get to studying last night? Oh that's right, it was so boring that he had fallen asleep quicker than listening to a lullaby. And he couldn't stop himself from overthinking what his Obā-chan was going to say when he heard of this, which she probably would since it would be their parents or guardian that would receive their report cards after they were officially graded by their teachers and the council elder that was managing the Shinobi Academy.
"Start studying history idiot, Rin and I won't always be there to tutor your ass you know." Kajirama spoke with a half-scolding manner before he closed his book and cleaned his brush with a wet towel.
"Well, you could always give me your notes you know..." Obito retorted dryly, as he removed his goggles and placed it gently on his forehead.
Rin was the one who responded instead of Kajirama. "And how did that fare well Obito? You didn't even study the biology notebook I gave you, and we all know that's not your worst subject, which was history."
"History have no interesting thing about it at all!" Obito once again cried indignantly as he grumbled. "I hated history with a passion and all of you guys know that!" Asuma and Ensui nodded, backing up his words.
"What were we going to do with some dumb information about who became the Shodaime Tsuchikage anyways? Inform our enemies of that in a battle so they would be bored to death? That guy was most probably dead for crying out loud!" Akio and Anzo stopped their arguing when they heard of Obito's hilarious outburst. Kajirama, Asuma, the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, Kurenai and Rin kept on snickering at Obito's antics. Even Kakashi who was up laying on his back atop a tree branch barely contained a chuckle.
"Now Anatomy and Biology are cool, no hate for that, but that's your thing Rin, you always ace those." Obito ended his expressive of annoyance with a loud huff of adorable annoyance.
"That's because it intrigued me so much and and I would always would be able to know more about the workings about the human body with learning it, my goal is to become a splendid medic-nin like Tsunade-sama after all." Rin responded.
"Yeah, and that's more fun than learning about some stupid guy who had been dead for decades and haunting my life right now."
Rin patted Obito's shoulder as she said while revealing a kind smile. "You just haven't discovered what you are good at yet, Obito. You're aiming to become Hokage right? Then you should first take it step by step by finding what you want to do first, that's what my Tōu-san told me."
"Hmm, I guess you Otō-san's right Rin." Obito bashfully rubbed his head. "I'll find what my specialty is... Somehow."
"You'll do fine, Obito." Kajirama comforted with a smile. After that, he looked up at Kakashi and asked. "Kakashi how about you? Did you do well on the exam?"
Kakashi nodded simply. "Hm, I did well. Not gonna be scoring as high as yours though if you didn't slack off." Kakashi looked down back at Kajirama, and asked back. "How about yours, how well did you think you did?"
The rest looked over at Kajirama, even Asuma as he was curious as to what his little nephew was about to say. Kajirama was much more dedicated of them all, he's also the strongest, no matter how much badly Akio, Obito, Asuma and Anko hated to admit it, but he really was. Not that he didn't lose to them though, but mostly, he won the friendly spar when they were up against him, either in the Academy or here in their hideout. After all, how would they be able to fight against someone who fought so bizzare and unorthodoxy- Kenjutsu, Taijutsu, Fūinjutsu, Ninjutsu and even Shurikenjutsu, this styles were something that was incorporated in Kajirama's offbeat fighting style, they fared much better compared to the others on their class since the eleven of them hang out mostly every single day to train with each other and help out what they could offer, which meant that they are very familiar with Kajirama in combat, but weren't too experience against it that they would be able to negate and counter what he would unexpectedly throw at them. Which sometimes leaded them to curse at Kajirama being such a nerd and a bookworm, so that they could somehow feel better when they lost.
"So-so." Kajirama smirked as he saw the irritated look on his friends' faced. He changed the subject by saying. "So what are you guys going to do in the two weeks vacation given to us? For me, Obā-chan promised to find me a Fūinjutsu Practitioner to tutor me for this whole two weeks." Kajirama started.
"I'm going to just study some more on anatomy and biology in my free time, and watch a few public demonstration on the Konoha Hospital to learn more of it, I heard that Tsunade-sama's apprentice should be there to do some of the demonstration, I wonder how I'm compared to her." Rin chirped up, pumped at her plans for the free days ahead.
"Well, I for one, am going to start practicing my clan's Kenjutsu Style..." Kakashi shared. The others asked what the Kenjutsu was called and he replied with a soft whisper. "White Fang's Technique..."
The others already knew of Kakashi's heritage from the show and tell on their class's activity, so they weren't new to knowing his father was Sakumo Hatake, the hero of Konoha, however, Kajirama knew more than them on the insiders information, that's why when he heard of Kakashi's wordsz he looked deeply at him.
"I don't really have planned what I'm 'bout to do, maybe I'm just gonna hang out here in the hideout and train." Obito shared buoyantly. "I might even go with Rin on that demonstration she wanted to go."
"Ensui, Shitō and I are officially gonna start practicing our clan's techniques, so that's something you guys should watch out when we'll spar the next time." Santa smirked playfully, while Ensui and Shitō nodded.
"It's troublesome, but yeah, our parents agreed to teach us, not that we would be able to master it immediately, Santa." Ensui toned down Santa's threat on their friends with that logic of his.
"Oy! You're no fun, Ensui-chan!" Santa whined as he clutched on his friend's arm.
Ensui sighed, he knew better than correctioning this annoying friend of his, he should have kept his mouth tight. "... Troublesome blonde..."
Kurenai thought for a moment before saying. "Me too, I think my Otō-san mentioned something about training after this semester, but I could still have some time on my own, maybe I'll go with you on that one, Obito and Rin." Both the girls then began to chatter among themselves about some things the boys couldn't understand, except Anko.
"I'll accompany you guys as well." Asuma quickly added his own. Obito, Rin and Kurenai looked over at him, and he flinched, he explained nervously seeing Kurenai's ruby like eyes staring at him. "W-well, It's not like my Otō-san would be having that much free time training me anyways, I'm also not that interested in the Fūinjutsu art so I'm not gonna be studying with my little gō-san here " He pointed at Kajirama, then he continued. "And my Onii-san would be too busy on his missions, after all, Kashin-niisan is now a genin."
"You can come with us Asuma." Obito patted his shoulder with a smile. "We'll train hard too, maybe we can beat your gō-san after we work together, y'know?"
Asuma nodded with agreement and Obito grin seeing that.
Kajirama merely shook his head at their antics. They looked over at Anko and Akio, who haven't shared their plans yet.
Akio was the first to speak when he saw their attention on him. He patted his ninken as he smiled, showing the fangs underneath. "Like the Akimichi, Nara and Yamanaka dweebs, I'm also gonna be studying under my parents' tutoring on our clan's techniques."
The three didn't mind Akio's address of them, after all, why would they stoop so low on his mutt like level? Besides, they understand their friend's brash character.
"Uhmm..." Anko hesitated. "I actually don't know what to do..."
Kajirama and the others raised a brow. "What do you mean?"
"Well... Oh, you know, I don't have any family." Anko looked down. "I'm an orphan, so beside hanging out with you guys here, I don't know how to spend time in this long ass two weeks, you're all busy." She showed them a smile. "But, I'll be out here everyday in the hideout though if you guys decided to go here and train."
"Yeah, for sure Anko."
"Certainly, Anko, we'll drop by here when our parents allowed us to go out."
The others didn't know, but Kajirama could see that Anko was reluctant to admit, to admit that she was going to be lonely when she's going to be the only one here. He somewhat understood her feeling. Seeing that the others were now bidding farewell as they left towards their own houses, Kajirama approached Anko who was lifting up her backup.
"Yo! Anko." Kajirama called out.
Anko turned around in surprise, when she saw it was Kajirama she smiled and asked. "What is it, Kajirama?"
Kajirama had already thought of what he was going to say, so he spoke what's in his mind. "You don't have anything to do in the short vacation given to us, right?" A nod from Anko, the girl not knowing what he was up to, so he goes on. "Then how about you come to my house and train with me? I can help you on that something that Asuma and Kakashi was helping you with, I can also train together with you on your Shurikenjutsu and Taijutsu, how about it?"
Anko stood there blankly as she stared absentmindedly at Kajirama, after a while, seeing that she didn't respond, he began to feel somewhat nervous now. "Uhm... Anko? Do you not want to or..."
Anko blinked as she got out of her stupor. When she heard Kajirama's words of confirmation once again, she hastily jumped as she replied. "Of course! I'sd be alright with it." Anko stuttered incoherently, she looked down in embarrassment when she realized it herself.
"Really?" But, Kajirama didn't point it out, he may be sometimes mischievous, but he could read a person very well and this wasn't the right time to make fun of her.
"Yeah!" Anko smiled. Kajirama looked at her smile as he thought with a daze. 'Woah! That's... Cute.' He shook his head off that thought. "Anyway, I'll meet you here in the morning, okay? My house is extremely near here, so how about it?" He stretched his hand for a handshake.
Anko looked down at his hand and clasped it with her own. "Alright Kajirama."
