Yunfeng jerked his hand backward just in time.
The girl's teeth snapped shut where his fingers had been a second earlier, and he stumbled back several steps, staring at her in disbelief. The strange feeling from before suddenly made sense. His electricity had not simply failed. It had been erased the moment it came close to her.
"She nullifies powers," Yunfeng said, his voice tight with realization.
The little girl didn't give him time to explain further. She lunged again, moving far faster than her small body should have been capable of. Yunfeng tried to activate his power once more, but nothing happened. The blue energy that usually answered him immediately was completely absent, leaving him dangerously exposed.
"Yunfeng!"
Zei's voice came from behind him.
Before the girl's teeth could reach him, everything suddenly stopped.
The zombies froze in the middle of their movements. Dust hung motionless in the air, and even the girl's outstretched body became completely still.
