Irina watched the traffic in silence as she drove toward the clinic where Emil was staying.
Bella sat beside her, wearing sunglasses and staying quiet throughout the drive. She kept herself occupied by reviewing an artist's portfolio for her gallery's upcoming exhibition.
She was there simply to support Irina, though she knew that if things became too difficult, there was very little she could actually do. The only person truly capable of calming Irina down was Amany—and that had always been the case.
So Bella tried not to overthink it. She just wanted Irina to see Emil and for everything to go as smoothly as possible.
Forget the past—if that was even possible.
All they could hear during the drive was the soft music playing in the car, just enough to fill the silence between them.
