Di Tou had never really been good at combat in the first place, and his Spiritual Palace Stage improvement hadn't actually given him the advantage that Spiritual Palace Stage experts would typically have against Void Returning Stage experts. As a result, towards the end of the last war in the Southern Continent, Di Tou had to act very carefully, worrying that he would be brought down by the remaining forces in the Southern Continent.
Thankfully, they had been worn down and were worried about Di Tou's potential influence and attack, so things had resolved peacefully, but if he were to go again in this weakened state… well, to say it wasn't something he was looking forward to was already a bit of an understatement.
