The ancestor's mechanics in the game are very special, going through three phases in total.
Starting from the human form, adept in manipulating flesh, using replicas to fight, the actual form has no attack capability.
After being defeated, it transitions to the Heart of Gestation form, possessing only passive counterattack ability.
Finally, it becomes forcibly incubated from the wounded Heart of Gestation into the Heart of Darkness.
Simply summarized as: Human Form - Heart of Gestation - Heart of Darkness.
In these forms, neither of the first two counts as the ancestor's true form, only the last one is the forced reveal of its true form.
This represents the obstacle stopping the ancestor's ascension, symbolizing his ambition at its peak, embodying the mysterious power responsible for the corruption of Hamlet and its surroundings - the Heart of Darkness.
