The Limping Walker spat out the substance that corroded flesh, and naturally the Patriarch was unwilling to retreat, releasing a decaying aura from the places on his body not filled with black eyeballs.
The ultimate state of life is decay, and as soon as the Patriarch's summoned aura touched the Limping Walker, even an Aberrant Demon capable of traversing the void couldn't withstand it, with large patches of flesh rotting and decaying at a visible speed.
The strange auras they stirred also intermingled, shrouding parts of their bodies like a fog, yet the roaring and brawling sounds were still clear. Each attack and counter stirred the fog further, adding a touch of mystery.
As Lance had just perceived, the Patriarch's evil form was more of a constraint upon him. Like how only mortals can be nailed to a cross, not so-called gods.
