"It's alright, jiejie." I gently squeezed her hand. "You had a good reason to cry… And it's okay."
She must have been keeping this heavy feeling all to herself.
Nuo Lin jiejie looked down at our joined hands.
"...Still." She laughed weakly. "It must have made me look so lame. Here I am holding with my meimei's hand comforting and dragging me onto the stall streets. Gurgh… I'm a little hungry."
I immediately shook my head again.
"Nope, you're not lame to me." I held onto her hand tigther as we slowly walked through the village together. "Jiejie will only be lame when she tells awful jokes."
She blinked.

"I thought you loved my jokes."
I looked away. "...Some of them but some of your teasing is not funny at all."
