When Dylan used to be a soldier, there were so many times that his life hung by a thread as he charged into code red zones.
But none of that had ever made him feel as anxious as he did now.
He could remain as calm as the sea during negotiations with the enemy, but right now, his wavering eyes revealed rare angst within him.
The three women, especially Zoe, noticed his unusual behavior.
She looked at Dylan in shock.
"Dylan," Zoe called out. She wanted to ask him about it.
Dylan came back to his senses. He glanced at her, saying, "Why are you still here?"
"I..."
Dylan said to the nannies, "Send her off. There's no need to invite her in if she ever comes again."
He took Liam as well and went straight upstairs.
Zoe watched as he walked away. Her eyes were brimming with tears.
"Ms. Evans, please," said one of the nannies.
Zoe sniffled. "Who's their mother?"
"It's Ms. Williams."
