Kiro felt warm and comfortable. In his mind, he was in his bed back home, it was a lazy day and he laid there not wanting to move. His mind was unconsciously waiting for Alora to blast through his bedroom door, waking him up before he wanted to.
Like a predator patiently waiting for the prey to let its guard down before pouncing for the soft tender jugular, he hid under his covers, waiting. His idea was to scare her as she walked up to him to shake him awake.
But instead, unimaginable pain suddenly shot through his entire body, the comfort lasted for but a second. The pain caught him off-guard, waited for him to be a little comfortable before striking, he was the prey all along. Kiro let out groans.
The second sense of his that came back was hearing. He could hear two voices arguing, not so far away from him though he couldn't make out the conversation because the pain was much louder.
