Chapter 488 - Chapter 486: Seo Hana

Everyday I knew that I could be a little too much for my twin brother, but I just couldn't help myself sometimes. He was the perfect target for my teasing since I married his best friend/cousin. He was a stony-fcaed little mummy's boy, but he was still my twin brother who I did everything with. Not a day went by in our childhoods where we were separated at least once, so it was hard for me to not share my meals with him, to not study next to him, to visit him at his work and embarrass him as much as possible. That jerk hasn't so much as even shed a single tear in my absence and I was going to make him pay for it as much as possible since he was determined to act so heartless around me.

"You shouldn't have done that you know." My husband Chul came walking into the home we shared with his brother and father that I was busy tiding up for when my father visited us later on after the birthday party. "I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about." I blinked innocently as I undressed my husband for his hot bath that was waiting for him. "You almost succeeded in reducing your brothers to tears right before he was about to confess his feelings to Bo-Geom finally." "Who told him to be so heartless and carry on with life normally after loosing his dearest twin sister?" "Stop it." "What?" "Why do you act like everyone should fall in love with you as soon as they meet you?" "Because everyone does, so they should. But you know that Hyuk is different, he's my twin for goodness sake. He should have given me the biggest wedding present, he should have cried for me the most after my father at my wedding, and he should be visiting me everyday instead of trying to only meet you outside of the home." "Can you blame him? I don't know what sort of obsession you have with your twin brother, or are you just having a hard time adjusting to the separation that you two have for the first time…." "It is a little bit of both, to be honest. But tell me honestly husband, doesn't my brother mention me at all when you meet him with your brother Geom?" "How man times are you going to ask me woman? Even Geom gives you the same answers as I do." "What a heartless pig. Watch how I tear him apart in front of Bo-Geom now." "Don't you dare, wife." "What do you mean? Has he confessed to her already?" "I think so since I haven't seen Bo-Geom blush this much since she was a child."

All childish manner aside, a part of me really did feel happy for my brother, but a part of me was about to burst into tears at the thought of him being even more distant from me than he already was. And if I was feeling this way, then god only knows what Hwan was going through since they were extremely close since he was born. He was 16 now and he still refused to let go of his hyung's robes as he followed him wherever he went and even got a job in the palace just to stay close to him. "What's with that look on your face?" "She's going to take him away from me, isn't she? From now on she will serve him food and study with him and help him with his work and…" "You know that we have been married for some time now, yes? Let your brother go and get married and have children of his own." "But then they will take him away from me as well!" "Goodness gracious, you're just a lost cause without him aren't you? I feel bad for him now with all of his siblings climbing on top of his head like this, no wonder he ran to the palace to get away from you all." "Husband!" "And when he finally gets married then maybe you will remember that you have a husband who you need to tend to as much as possible, and even before my father and brother." "That's easy for you to say, your father-in-law isn't your uncle and your brother-in-law isn't your cousin that you grew up with." "Really? Because last time I checked, I was in the same boat as you. Because my father-in-law is my uncle, and my brothers-in-law are my cousins as well." "My father is your uncle by marriage, but your father is my blood uncle and my mother's most precious family member. Of course I have to tend to him even better than I do to you, especially in his old age now. It is not like your mother is around to do it…" "Don't bring her up again wife." "Ok ok, just be more understanding that I am the second woman in this home now after your mother, and I have to look after everyone else equally." "Then take care of me quickly right now before we join everyone else." "You insatiable beast! Wasn't this morning enough for you? And last night? It is a miracle that your family hasn't walked in on us already." "I keep telling you that we should go elsewhere for this, but you're the one who always wants to stay close to my family." "At least they adore me, unlike my heartless brother and brattish little sisters." "Goodness gracious, there is no pleasing you is there?" "What can I say? I need a lot of love to survive and flourish in life." "Then come here and let me give me that to you." Replied my 6ft tall husband as he picked me up from my waist and placed me onto his shoulders and threw me into the bath with my clothes on without any shame at all.

A few hours later it was time for the banquet in late spring, and everyone was in a rather cheerful mood, considering who my brother was and how much trouble he caused. I met up with the rest of the village women with the food preparations and i waited to meet my mother who was everywhere and anywhere at once. I waited for Hwan to come to see me so I could give him my gifts secretly before Hyuk lectured me to no end about spoiling my baby brother. And when I finally saw him coming, I didn't disappoint him as I practically launched myself into his arms as he was now old enough to swing me in the air. I missed my baby brother dearly as he didn't come around our family as much as he used to, so I always gave him gifts whenever I saw him, and today was no exception. Before he could even greet me, I had already handed him enough gifts to make his arms buckle and fall onto his knees. I could only smile at him sweetly before covering him in kisses publicly as everyone watched us and laughed hysterically as my baby brother ran away with a very red face indeed. But although it was his birthday party, he wasn't the brother that I came to see, and Hyuk knew it when he immediately saw me and started running away from me for his life around the bonfire that the elders had just started, putting the entire village through another round of hysterics.

"You stay away from me Seo Hana, and leave me be once and for all!" "Come over here, Seo Hyuk and embrace your twin sister like you are meant to do!" "You are a married woman for goodness sake! You left our family to be with your husband, so just stay there!" "You heartless jerk, you have no problems with spoiling your twin sisters rotten, but you cannot even embrace your own twin?" "When will I ever be rid of you, Hana?" "Don't even dream about it, I will make sure that we are buried together in the same grave once we are dead!" "Hana!" "Come over here and embrace your sister who you haven't seen in weeks, you jerk!" The chase only ended when those two brats of sisters of mine tried to protect my brother from me and they started clinging onto his legs for dear life. He was big enough to pick them up at his big age and he had the nerve to embrace them in front of me with a slick smile on his face that almost made me burst into tears if my husband hadn't pulled me into his embrace and buried my face into his chest. That heartless jerk was going to be responsible for my tears and there was no way I was going to let him get away with it. But I had to wait until this blasted birthday party was over to deal with him yet.
