Lying on the hospital bed with an ankle brace, I keep my teary eyes fixed firmly at the door of the Mylari City Hospital room .
What's taking them so long?
I wish someone would walk in, anyone at all. I desperately wanted to know how Bruno was doing.
When the ambulance came, I had fainted in the arms of the parademics, terrified and exhausted.
Then I woke up thirty minutes later in a hospital room, wearing a hospital gown, having a brace on my foot and absolutely no idea if Bruno had survived or not.
When I asked a doctor they had told me that he had been bitten by a venomous snake and was "undergoing treatment" before quickly moving on to tell me that I had got a grade two sprain and to stay off my ankle for the next two weeks.
Like I gave a damn about my ankle when Bruno is fighting for his life.
Why were they taking so long? Was everything alright? Maybe Bruno had already been killed by snake venom.
I ground my head into my pillows in frustration, silently crying.
