Four men were gathered around a fire, watching the squirrel carefully.
"It's done, any more and it'll be charred."
Chen Delong saw the squirrel's fur burnt clean off by the flames, and quickly spoke.
Tui Zi hurriedly used a stick to lift the squirrel out.
It was blackened, with fur curled into a lump.
Tui Zi used two sticks to pick it up, went outside, and rinsed it with rainwater.
Then he brought it back and used a knife to separate the meat and clean it up.
Placed it over the fire to roast.
The flames were strong, and the squirrel was tiny.
In ten minutes, the squirrel was roasted well.
Tui Zi handed the roasted squirrel to Chen Delong for him to divide.
"Wait, let me sprinkle some salt, I got it last time from the base, can't go without salt," Chen Delong quickly said.
After speaking, he sprinkled some salt over it and divided it into four pieces.
Roughly the same size.
The four took up the roasted squirrel and gnawed away, there wasn't much meat.
