After having dinner at a pizza restaurant the Higanbana siblings had went to a nearby river to go fishing at night.
They casted their lines and we're currently waiting for fish to bite their hooks.
Kaneki: Onee-chan listen carefully, the key to a successful catch is patience and silence.
Miku: That's right so be quiet!
Splash!
Upon raising her voice on Kotori, Miku had accidentally scared all of the nearby fish.
Kotori: So who was the one who needed to be quiet?
Kaneki: Haha~ seriously Miku you didn't need to raise your voice there.
Miku: Shuff upft...
After realizing her mistake Miku covered her face in embarrassment.
Kaneki: They will probably come back sooner or later so let's wait okay?
Miku: Okay...
Miku's thoughts*
(Augh... Why did I do that? We're going to be here for a long time now!)
10 Minutes later~
After 10 minutes of waiting and no bites Kotori had thought of something.
Kotori: Hey Kaneki-chan let's move to a different area, we might have a better chance of catching fish down stream.
Kaneki: You and Miku can go ahead, I rather fish from here.
Miku: What?! Onii-chan you can't leave me with her!
Kaneki: Why not? It's not like she's going to harm you or anything. Besides you two do not even talk much and since you two are family now it's better that you two get to know each other more.
Miku couldn't say a good argument against her brother and what's worse for her.
Kotori: I like it! Let's go Miku-chan!
Grip!
Miku: Hey let go off me! I don't want to be with you!
Kotori strongly agreed with Kaneki and began dragging Miku down stream while Miku tried to protest.

As the two got farther away, Kaneki's left eye had turned blue and a familiar voice began to talk to Kaneki, it was himself.
Azuna: Ohh~ smart move me.
Kaneki: Yeah those two really needed to get along now that they're family. Hopefully Miku can open up to her more.
Azuna: Yeah I hope so.
Fade~
After their small chat Kaneki's left eye had turned back to normal.
Kaneki: Please get along Miku, Onee-chan.
Meanwhile~
Kotori: This spot seems like the best spot!

Miku: Sigh~
Aftercasting their lines onto the water the sisters sat down but...
A few minutes later~
Chirp~! Chirp~!
(Wow it's quiet usually she would talk to me, I guess she's really focused on catching fish huh? Good some peace and quiet)
With Kotori not bothering her, Miku felt relieved since Kotori would usually try and talk to her a lot at home.
(Hehe~ I don't need to bother myself with her for now)
But though she was happy with the peace and quiet, she remembered Kaneki's words.
"Since you two are family now it's better that you two get to know each other more."
Miku: ...
Even if she doesn't like Kotori one bit, in the end of the day they are family now.
(Haa... Onii-chan seriously I can't believe I'm doing this... I'm so going to regret it.)
And seeing how much Kaneki seems to enjoy being around Kotori, Miku decided for once that she would talk to her.
Miku: So you've been watching Onii-chan for almost all his life right?
Kotori: Yup! That was the original purpose of my bi- Eh?!
Miku: What's wrong with you now?
Kotori: Y-You just talked to me on your own!
Miku just started with an annoyed expression at Kotori, she was starting to rethi her decision.
Miku: Man you're annoying.
Kotori: Hehe~ I'm sorry I'm still just very overjoyed.
Miku: Still? What do you mean?
Kotori: Well for one i have acquired this body and two I'm finally able to be with my family after so long. How can't I be overjoyed? In addition I can finally do anything I wanted to do without only a few restraints.
Miku: Oh that's right, since you had left you were only bound in a computer right?
Kotori: A supercomputer yes.
Miku: Must've been lonely huh?
Kotori: Nope. I was always accompanied by members of the council plus I would contact our family members from time to time. Except for Dad though.
Miku: Seriously? Why not Dad?
Kotori: Well... It's complicated. Since I did knew about everything that Kaneki-chan was doing behind your backs if I were to contact Dad he'd ask me about him.
Miku: Couldn't you just lie to him?
Kotori: Miku-chan do you really think I have what it takes to lie to my own parent?
Miku: Hmm... Fair point. Another thing aside from streaming what are other things you like to do?
Kotori: Watch over Kaneki-chan and his friends.
Miku: Of course that's what you like to do.
Kotori: Could you blame me? I'm very envious of you, y'know?
Miku: Envious? Of me?
Kotori: Not you specifically, I'm talking about you and your friends and even Kaneki-chan himself.
Miku: Why would you- Oh... Yeah that's right you could never play with us yourself.
Kotori: That's right. But even though I couldn't watching you all play together happily, eat together, fooling around. Times like those are very precious to me.
Miku: You are weird you know that?
Kotori: Hehe~ although...
Kotori's cheerful tone had suddenly turned gloomy.

Kotori: N-Nothing non of your business.
Miku: Stare~
Kotori: Please don't stare at me.

Although she tried to avoid telling Miku, being confronted by her stares that surprisingly had some weight. She opened up.
Kotori: Fine. I have some- a lot of regrets regarding Kaneki-chan.
Miku: Wait regrets?
Kotori: My main regret was that I couldn't protect him from the many things he had endured, not having a physical body and means to contact him I would often blame myself whenever he experiences something traumatic.
Miku: I see... Yeah I can't blame you for that. But hey you're not alone, even I have regrets.
Kotori: I know, you broke Kaneki-chan's heart.
Miku: !!!
Kotori: Called someone else your brother in front of him for a few months.
Miku: !!!
Kotori: and you couldn't bring yourself to apologize and reconcile despite having many good times to do so.
Kotori's blunt and honest words had pierced Miku's heart so much that it she could still feel the sting.
Miku: Wow you're very blunt.
Kotori: Yeah. We should really stop thinking about our past guilt, if we can't move on from them and move forward we can't do anything.
Miku: Yeah you're right, after all look at Onii-chan.
As Miku mentioned Kaneki both of them looked at his direction.
Kaneki: Come here! I won't let you escape!
He already had a fish on his line and was reeling it in, and what's more.
Kaneki: Hahaha! Bring it on!
He had was very happy.
Kotori: Yeah he may not have completely moved on from his past, but he is slowly and is now enjoying his life.
Miku: Everyday it seems like he's enjoying his life more than he did when we were kids.
Kotori: Yeah he's definitely going to be more happy once his dream becomes reality and when he brings back Mama.
Miku: Yeah. I really want him to be a lot happier now after everything he has been through.
Kotori: Yeah so could you promise me something, Miku-chan?
Miku: Eh? Promise?
Kotori: That's right. Once you, Shino-chan and Yuuka-chan apologize to Kaneki-chan and reconcile and everything after that. Please make Kaneki-chan happy from that point forward.
Miku: Eh?
Miku was very surprised by Kotori's request.
Miku: I mean... Sure? We already plan to do that a while ago.
Kotori: Hehe~! Good!

Miku & Kotori: Oh crap!
A fish had bite onto both of their hooks catching them both by surprise as they sprinted to grab onto their rods.

Miku: What the?!
Their lines were seemingly caught on the same fish and it was getting farther and farther away.
Miku: Hey I may not like you as much as Onii-chan, but we have to work together!
Kotori: I know that! Let's drag it in!
Miku: Okay!
The two sisters reeled hard bringing the fish closer to shallow water while they loved a bit inland.
Splash!
As they reeled the fish closer huge amounts of water splashed out.
Kotori: On 3!
Miku: Got it!
Kotori: 1! 2! 3!
Miku & Kotori: ORA!
SPLASH!
The two the pulled had pulled their rods with everything they got and successfully caught the fish.
Kotori: Eh?
Miku: Seriously?
But to their surprise the "fish" they caught was.
Kaneki: You guys did awesome!
It turned out to be Kaneki who had bite onto their hooks.
Miku: What are you doing?
Kaneki: Nothing just fooling around, so did you two get along?
Kotori: Hehe~ yeah we did but seriously Kaneki-chan why the heck did you posed as a fish hahahahaha!
Seeing the hooks still on Kaneki's cheek, Kotori couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Miku: Pfft! Hahahahahaha! The hooks is still on your cheeks!
Even Miku couldn't help but laugh.
Kaneki: Hehe! Well then let's head home, it's getting real late.
Miku: Yeah we definitely should and so the bonding time for the Higanbana siblings has come to an end, and the next day the festival will begin.
