Natsuki: Haa~ Hmm? It's already morning?
As sunlight came through the window and shined upon Natsuki's face, she woke up from her sleep.
Natsuki: Ngh... I wonder how Kaneki is doing?
Kotori: He's doing well.
Natsuki immediately greeted Kotori after seeing her already awake.
Natsuki: Oh! Good morning Kotori-san.
Kotori: Good morning Natsuki-chan, breakfast is ready. Come join us.
After telling Natsuki to join the family breakfast, Kotori left the room leaving Natsuki a bit confused.
Natsuki's thoughts*
(What's with her?)
The way Kotori talked was a bit strange as she showed a bit of worry in her face and voice to which Natsuki immediately saw.
(She's hiding something from me, I must find out at breakfast.)
Not wanting anything to be lied to again, Natsuki decided to confront her at breakfast.
Natsuki: Well I better clean up first.
Natsuki cleaned up Kotori's bed before going to the dining table to eat.
Atsuo & Aiya: Good morning.
Miku: Good morning, Natsuki.
After being greeted by the rest of the Higanbana family aside from Kaneki, Natsuki sat down and greeted them with good morning as well.
Miku: Good morning Uncle, Auntie, Miku.
Aiya: Now then with everyone here, let's eat!

And so the five of them started eating breakfast.
And seeing how calm everyone was aside from Kotori is at the moment, Natsuki decided not to confront her, not until they were done at least.
30 Minutes later~
Aiya: Thanks for helping me with the dishes girls.
Natsuki & Miku: No problem!
With breakfast and helping Aiya with the dishes done, Natsuki looked towards Kotori who was in the living room.
Natsuki: ...
Miku: Hey what's on your mind?
Natsuki: Kotori-san is hiding something from me.
Miku: Really? Then why don't you ask Onee-chan?
Natsuki: I am. Well time to see what she's up to.
After her small talk with Miku, Natsuki went to the living room to confront Kotori.
Natsuki: Hey Kotori-san, you're hiding something from me. Aren't you?
Kotori: Heh. Looks like you found out rather quickly. Sigh~ Yeah I am sorry.
Natsuki: What are you hiding?
Kotori: Not really hiding but more hesitating, because I'm going to need your help later and it HAS to be you.
Natsuki: M-Me?
(I already decided to help her, but it feels strange that she needs my help.)
Natsuki wanted to know why Kotori was hesitating to ask for her help.
Natsuki: Then why are you hesitating? I'm hall to help you in your investigation.
Miku: Me too!
Kotori: Well... Sigh~ You're not going to like what help I'm going to need from you.
Natsuki & Miku: Can you just get straight to the point?!
Kotori: Hehe~ sorry... Yeah I'll get straight to the point.
Kotori took in a deep breath.
Kotori: Haa~
And told both Natsuki and Miku her intention.
Kotori: Natsuki I'll be going back to his house later to interrogate him and... I'm going to need you to come with me to interrogate him.
Natsuki & Miku: Eh?!
Both Natsuki and Miku were surprised by Kotori's plan, after all she had already interrogated Ryueki before and the last time she did she barely got any useful information from him.
Miku: No way! You shouldn't!!!
Surprisingly Miku strongly objected Kotori's plan.
Natsuki: Wait Miku, let's hear her out for a moment.
Hearing Natsuki's suggestion Miku immediately calmed down.
Kotori: Alright as you may know, I already interrogated him and didn't get much information. But last night I've went out to check up on him where I had a little chat with the Princess of Atlantis who you all met in the W.S.S.F.
Miku: Really?!
Natsuki: So she's one of the people you've sent here?
Kotori: Yes.
A few minutes later~
Kotori told Natsuki and Miku about her talk with Claudia the previous night and her theory of Ryueki developing a possibile split personality who could be the one responsible for manipulating Shino, Yuuka and Miku.
Miku: I see. It does sound possible.
Natsuki: Yeah. But why do you need me?
Kotori: That's because we're going to interrogate him, although unlike last time you're going to be the one who interrogates him.
Natsuki: But why me?
Kotori: Well. To put simply, he might get too emotional when confronted by you and probably even angry as well. If he can't keep his emotions in check he would probably slip up and give us more detailed information, and paired with my ability to make him do anything I saw it might prove useful.
Natsuki: I see, sure I'll help.
Miku: What?!
Natsuki agreed to Kotori's plan very easily which concerned Miku.
Miku: Are you really okay with that?! You really hate him don't you? And isn't it way too dangerous?!
Kotori: It's alright Miku-chan, I'll personally be in the room and as an extra precaution. I've ordered some of the agents around Shimotsuki to surround the Itadori household when we interrogate him. So if he plans on doing something to harm Natsuki-chan, I and the agents will restrain and probably put him in our custody as well.
Miku: But...
Natsuki: It's alright Miku, I'm fine with it.
Seeing Natsuki determined to help, Miku accepted it.
Miku: Fine... But I'm coming with you as well.
Kotori: Are you s—
Miku: Yes.
Kotori: I see. Alright it's decided, but first you two go take a bath and get changed I'll notify the agents to gather nearby Natsuki's home.
Natsuki: Let's go then.
Miku: I'll prepare the bath.
With Natsuki and Miku now onboard the three began preparing for the interrogation.
1 hour and 21 minutes later~
Natsuki: Haa~ We're here.
After a while, Natsuki, Miku and Kotori had arrived at the Itadori household.
Natsuki: You really weren't kidding about this place being surrounded huh?
Upon arriving Natsuki immediately noticed the 30 hidden agents that were stationed nearby using her ability.
Kotori: Yup. They'll spring out once things get ugly, now then let's do this.
Kotori walked up to the door and ring the doorbell.

Upon ringing the doorbell, the door was immediately opened by Ryueki's mother.
Ryueki's Mom: W-What are you doing here?
Kotori: Hello Itadori-san, I apologize for the sudden visit but we've gathered more information and they're all pointing to that son of yours again.
Kotori's words made Ryueki's Mother anxious.
Ryueki's Mom: N-No that can't be possible, you've already—
Kotori: I understand your worry, but you all used to live in Osaka and your son is adopted isn't he?
Ryueki's Mom widened her eyes after hearing this.
Ryueki's Mom: How did you know?
It was already known that Ryueki was adopted, but no one aside from Natsuki and her family knew about them used to live in Osaka.
Kotori: I'll give you that information later after our interrogation.
Ryueki's Mom looked behind Kotori to see Natsuki and Miku.
Ryueki's Mom: W-What is Nat— Mizutani-san doing here?
Kotori: She and alongside my little sister over there, are here to help me interrogate him.
Understanding that she can't do anything, Ryueki's Mom allowed them inside.
Ryueki's Mom: Sure... Come in.
All 3: Thank you.
The three took off their shoes and entered the house, and walked up stairs until they reached Ryueki's room.
Kotori: Ready when both of you are.
Kotori said as she stood in front of the door.
Miku: I'm ready.
Natsuki: Same here.
Kotori: Good.
Kick!
Crash!
In an instant Kotori kicked the door through the room.
Ryueki: Wha—?!
Swoosh!
Crash!
Immediately after kicking the door, Kotori entered and wrapped Ryueki's neck in her right arm.
Ryueki: W-What do you want n—
Kotori: Tell nothing but the absolute truth in our presence!
Without wasting a single second, Kotori immediately used her demon of sound powers to make Ryueki tell nothing but the truth in front of them.
Thud!
Ryueki: Argh!
Kotori: Alright it's done, you two can come in now.
Hearing Kotori's signal, Natsuki and Miku walked in.
Natsuki & Miku: ...
Ryueki: Heh! What?! Came crawling back?!
Upon seeing Natsuki and Miku, Ryueki with his hideous face smirked and mocked them.
Kick!
Ryueki: Argh!
But he was given a kick by Kotori after saying this.
Kotori: Shut up!
Ryueki: Tch! What the hell do you want from me?
Natsuki: Were you the one who manipulated Shino, Yuuka and Miku to hurt Kaneki?
Ryueki: Tch! I was nowhere near that Mob character!

Kotori: Choose your words wisely or I'll leave you unable to walk let alone stand!
Kotori was already losing her patience with Ryueki, she is trying her best not to break him.
Natsuki: Do you know who the person responsible is?

Natsuki: I see, then this person is helping you and you are helping him.

Seeing Ryueki's reaction and his hesitantance to answer, Natsuki pushed forward.

Because of Kotori, Ryueki was unable to lie.
Kotori: So Claudia's theory was correct! There's another personality in that head of yours!

Kotori didn't allow Ryueki to talk with such arrogance and shot his shoulder.

Blood started coming out of Ryueki's wound but Natsuki didn't care and continued talking.
Natsuki: Did you really expected me to love you because you're some "protagonist" what a joke.

Natsuki: Your little "story" is so disgusting and I wanted no part of it.

Ryueki was getting more furious as Natsuki showed her disgust towards him as well as his story.

Hearing Natsuki's words, Ryueki's anger exploded.
Ryueki: Why the hell.... WHY THE HELL WON'T YOU ACCEPT YOUR ROLE AS MY HEROINE?!

Natsuki: Let him talk Kotori-san.
After Kotori backed off Ryueki continued to yell.
Ryueki: YOU WERE BORN FOR ME! YET YOU PICKED THAT GOOD FOR NOTHING MOB CHARACTER—
Miku: DON'T INSULT MY ONII-CHAN!
Miku couldn't take Ryueki insulting Kaneki which led her to yell at him.
Ryueki looked back at Miku with distain after realizing she was there as well.
Ryueki: Look who we have here, weren't you so attached to me? Your "Onii-chan".
Miku: Higanbana Kaneki, he is my real Onii-chan.
Ryueki: Tch! I heard about it when you were all talking in front of Natsuki's house like a week ago.
Miku: ...
Ryueki: Heh! To think that mob character watched as his precious harem clung to me it must've be—
Miku: We are not his harem, we're his friends and family.
Ryueki: Huuh? What the hell are you talking about?
Miku looked at Ryueki straight in the eyes before continuing.
Miku: We had been together every since we were children, we shared a very special bond.

Ryueki mocked Miku but she responded clearly.

Ryueki continued to mock her but Miku responded immediately.
Miku: No. We never loved you because you were some "protagonist" we don't know the reason. But we knew we had hurt Onii-chan.

Miku: We were attempting to reach Onii-chan for a long time, we did it very subtly so no one would make rumors about him.

Back when Shino-Oneechan lost her bracelet, back when Yuuka-Oneechan would get harassed by other guys, back when I was attacked by some girls who were in love with you.
Miku listed the times Kaneki had helped and saved them despite what they had done to him.
Natsuki: As well during the camping trip, he saved Shino and fought against the War-Para Jelly's you've placed.
Kotori: Kaneki-chan saved both Natsuki-chan and Yuuka-chan from getting kidnapped.
Natsuki and Kotori even added what they knew as well, and Ryueki.
Ryueki: Shut up...
He couldn't stand it.
Miku: Even though she had hurt him, Onii-chan had cut off his own arm after he slapped Yuuka-Oneechan he loves us so much that he'd punish himself for hurting us even though we deserve it.
Natsuki: Kaneki found Millie who was bullying Miku a month ago and after learning of her circumstances he went out of his way to help her reunited with her real family.
Ryueki: Be quiet!
Miku: Onii-chan even risked his life to save me, using those two forbidden weapons to turn himself into a monster just to save me, his sister who called someone else her "real Onii-chan" for no reason at all...
Ryueki: I SAID BE QUIET!
Ryueki didn't want to hear anything about Kaneki anymore, but Miku didn't stopped.
Miku: And when we were getting attacked because we were close with him, when everyone thought he was a bad guy because Natsuki chose him... He chose our happiness over his own and was prepared to erase himself for all of us... Even after what I, Shino-Oneechan and Yuuka-Oneechan did to him he showed time and time again that he cared and loved us.
Ryueki: SHUT UP! DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK HIGHLY OF THAT STUPID MOB—
Punch!
Ryueki: ARGH!
Ryueki tried to stand up, but before he could even move Miku punched him hard on the face.
Miku: We already told you many times to not call him that!
After being punched, Ryueki glared at Miku and then towards Natsuki before shouting angrily at them.
Ryueki: Tch! HOW DARE YOU?! YOU WERE SUCH A GOOD SUB HEROINE AND MAIN HEROINE AND YET YOU CHOSE TO DEFY ME?! JUST YOU WAIT!
Kotori, Natsuki & Miku: !!!
Ryueki: ONCE HE TAKES OVER WE'LL DESTROY THAT PATHETIC MOB CHARACTER—
Miku: Like we'll ever allow that.
Ryueki: HUUUH?!
Miku: Even if the devil himself comes to claim Onii-chan's life, we'll fight to the bitter end to protect him. The same way he'd do for us.
Ryueki: HAHA! DON'T MAKE ME LA—

Before he could finish, Kotori punched him hard enough to render him unconscious.
Kotori: Well that didn't go as I expected, well then everyone! Come in, let's begin transport!
With Ryueki somewhat revealing that he knew of the person who is trying to kill Kaneki, Kotori immediately ordered the agents nearby to restrain and transport Ryueki.
20 Minutes later~
After telling Ryueki's parents the reason for his capture. Kotori, Natsuki and Miku left Ryueki with the agents.
Natsuki: That was really impressive of you, Miku
Kotori: Yeah I was fully expecting Natsuki would say something like that.
Natsuki: Yeah I probably would've said the same list aside from the events that happened before me and Kaneki became friends.
Miku: Thanks... But I guess that trash really knew who was trying to kill Onii-chan huh?
Natsuki: Yeah... Hey Miku you meant what you said right? About protecting Kaneki to the bitter end?
Natsuki looked worriedly towards Miku.
Miku: Of course.
Hearing Miku's answer, Natsuki worry evaporated and she smiled.
Natsuki: Good. I feel the same way.
Kotori: You two seriously concern me. Anyways we'll have to share what we found with the others later.
Natsuki & Miku: Yeah!
With Ryueki now in the Council's custody, the three of them are now going to tell everyone else about what they have found.
Meanwhile~
Crash!
Ryueki: ARGH! WHAT THE HELL!
Ryueki was already in solitary confinement after being taken to council custody.
???: You're going to pay for everything you've done.
And currently facing him through a one sided mirror was...
Ryueki: Tch!
Atsuo: Don't you dare give me that attitude, I'm going to personally interrogate you little bastard.
Atsuo stared down at Ryueki with clear malice towards him.

And despite not seeing him directly, Atsuo's sheer hatred towards him made Ryueki's entire body shake.
Atsuo: What's wrong? Scared? Don't worry I'll make sure EVERYTHING you feel will hurt badly, so get used to this cell of your new cell while you wait.
After saying this, Atsuo temporarily left.
