Those were the parts that had been added for the sake of keeping up appearances.
They were placed inside to appear as if they were functioning parts that were core elements to the structure of a robot.
They appeared that way, but a lot of them were not active in the slightest from the moment they had been installed.
The wiring and other parts connecting them were not attached properly, while some were, so it just looked like it had resulted from the damage that had been caused to it during the struggle.
It would not be strange for some internal wiring and other mechanical parts to be knocked loose or to be too heavily damaged.
The person looking over it all did not notice that there was still life within it or that the very eyes that seemed lifeless had continued to watch over his every movement.
Parts were taken out of it one after another as he continued to make sense of the overall structure and how it worked.
That continued for quite some time while there were still some things happening in the surroundings.
Tiffany made full use of the access she had to that location to gather as much intel as she could.
The sacrifice had not been for nothing in the end.
It may have cost her a lot, but it had succeeded in saving some lives.
Not only that, but she had been able to find a way inside their operations.
That could be considered a breakthrough compared to what she and the others had managed so far.
They were just responding to what was happening around them and trying to do their best to counter such issues, but they were not doing much in the grand scheme of things.
In terms of their recent successes, the best they could say was that they had roughed up some of their people to halt some of their operations.
It had done nothing to actually stop them in any way possible.
It was more like they had been doing a little disruption to their overall business, more than anything else.
They had only been roughing up the lower members who were considered henchmen.
The moment that those people recovered, they would most likely return to what they had been doing.
Even if they were stopped, others could still take their place.
The things they would be stopping would be more likely to happen again, especially if it was something that had been ordered to be carried out.
The people running the gang were the main problem, not the henchmen that they had been dealing with so far.
They were a far greater threat and more difficult to get to.
More needed to be learned about them if anyone wanted to consider taking them on.
Only then would they have a chance at disrupting their overall operations.
Only when the people truly responsible for everything were taken down would there be hope for things to come to an end.
Even if they were not destroyed completely, their overall operations would be split apart enough to be able to go after those who were remaining a lot more freely.
The previous experience had become a big learning experience for Tiffany, just as it would likely be the same for the others who had survived it.
Tiffany had gained the most through it after being able to gather more information about the gang.
She began to learn the names of people and figure out who among them was in a more important position.
She was able to listen in on some phone calls to overhear some helpful things, especially if they were talking to someone important about such things.
Whenever she was free with nothing to do, she returned to her main body to write down what she could remember so that it could be of use later.
The connection to her puppet body had remained despite it being in a very poor condition.
That condition would likely remain for as long as it exists.
The only downside about it was that it was too broken to be of use in any other way.
It could not be moved around, so it would have to just be left to be studied and taken away to where it would go once they decided what they would do with it.
Either of those situations would likely result in her being cut off from any more information, or she would be moved to somewhere else that could end up providing her more.
She could still feel her connection with it, so it could still be possible for her to sense it through that connection should she get within a close enough range.
So long as she was able to make use of the information she gained through observing and listening, it could be possible for her to retrieve it one day, whether it was when it was discarded or when everything was over.
The only way that it would no longer be of use to her anymore and her connection would be severed would be if it was destroyed to the point that its most basic functions could no longer allow her to inhabit it anymore.
For that to happen, it would have to be shattered into tiny pieces and have even the eyes, ears and other parts destroyed.
