In a dark place,
Itachi Uchiha kept reading Shisui's suicide note again and again.
"I'm tired… I can't carry this burden anymore… The Uchiha have no future…"
Remembering the clan's doubts and arrogance, anger filled Itachi's heart.
"One family after another… all of them are arrogant fools…"
His Mangekyō Sharingan glowed coldly in the darkness.
"They don't even understand the power I hold… Even I can't fully control it, yet they want a coup?"
He watched the Uchiha moving around the Naka Shrine, full of hatred and ambition.
"If it wasn't for them… Shisui wouldn't have died."
"My power is wasted in this boring clan…"
At that moment, a child's voice came.
"Big brother, why didn't you come to the shrine meeting?"
Itachi froze… then his eyes softened.
"Sasuke… I will create a peaceful Konoha for you. Watch carefully… and see how shallow this clan really is."
After saying that, Itachi disappeared with two ANBU.
A year passed since Naruto's first mission outside the village.
Because of what happened, Naruto was no longer allowed to leave Konoha.
Even his missions were only C-rank, like chasing animals or simple tasks.
Hana Inuzuka and Izumi Uchiha didn't mind. They just stayed with Naruto.
Naruto also didn't complain. He knew the ninja world was becoming chaotic.
The encounter with Pain and Black Zetsu made him understand how dangerous the world really was.
Nagato had killed Hanzo, ending the civil war in the Hidden Rain Village.
The Akatsuki organization had started gathering powerful rogue ninja.
Kakuzu joined first.
Sasori would be next.
Orochimaru might be the third.
Meanwhile, wars between ninja villages were increasing.
As the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, Naruto would attract danger if he left the village.
So he stayed inside Konoha for now.
Inside the Hokage office
Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned while smoking.
Recently, Naruto's attitude toward him had changed.
Since Naruto moved to the Hyuga clan, things stopped going as planned.
Some clans were already becoming suspicious.
Hiruzen sighed.
Then an ANBU appeared.
"Promote Itachi Uchiha to ANBU squad captain. Send him to Danzo for more missions."
"Yes!"
Danzo looked at Itachi calmly.
"From today, you are an ANBU captain. Your missions will come from me."
Then he added:
"Your first mission… assassination."
Two Root members stepped forward.
"We will follow your orders."
Itachi nodded silently, his Sharingan cold.
Outside
Kakashi met Itachi.
"So… you're going to Danzo?"
"Yes."
"Be careful. Don't get involved in their politics."
Itachi bowed slightly.
"Thank you… for everything."
Kakashi smiled lightly.
"You're still a Konoha ninja."
Then Itachi disappeared.
Kakashi watched him leave, silent.
At the training field
Kakashi, Guy, and Yamato were talking.
"That kid… 13 years old and already ANBU captain?" Guy said.
Kakashi nodded.
"He's not normal."
Yamato added:
"Even with Sharingan, that's still unbelievable."
Meanwhile
At the Uchiha district
Fugaku stood in front of the clan.
"Follow orders!"
"Yes!"
The Uchiha were strengthening their forces.
Tension was rising again.
Back to Hokage office
Hiruzen gave Kakashi a mission.
"Someone has been passing through Konoha's barrier repeatedly."
Kakashi frowned.
"A spy?"
"Investigate quietly."
The suspicious area…
Was near the Uchiha district.
At the Ninja Academy field
Naruto was lying under a tree, relaxing.
His head was on Izumi's lap.
Hana fed him oranges.
Nearby, Hinata, Ino, and Karin were having tea.
Boys in the distance looked jealous.
Sasuke walked forward angrily.
"Hey! I will never lose to you!"
Naruto didn't even open his eyes.
"Yeah… come back when you're a jonin."
Sasuke clenched his teeth in anger.
He had tried many times to graduate early… but failed.
Naruto always refused to fight him.
"Become a real ninja first… then talk."
Those words always made Sasuke furious.
Izumi smiled.
"Sasuke, you're still far from Naruto. Train harder."
Sasuke's face turned red.
Then Shikamaru and his group walked over.
Inuzuka Kiba shouted:
"Sister!"
Hana replied calmly:
"Call him brother-in-law."
Kiba almost spat blood.
Naruto lifted his blindfold slightly and looked at Shikamaru.
"…So, it's starting already?"
