Once the ball fully formed, the surrounding darkness was forced back, and even the corrosive stench in the air was squeezed hard enough to pop with fine, rapid bursts.
Seraphine lifted her hand and slammed the sacred sphere downward.
The middle-aged man pushed his corrosive sphere forward at the same time.
The two attacks met head-on in midair. The instant holy radiance collided with corrosion, a violent impact blanketed the entire canyon. Savage pressure scattered in all directions, wave after wave crashing into both rock walls and blasting open fresh fractures along the gorge.
