The assistant looked at Anne Sutton. "Are you heading out now?"
Anne Sutton nodded. "Yeah. I don't have anything this afternoon, right? Just call me if anything comes up."
Actually, today was supposed to be her day off.
But with nothing else to do, she had come in anyway and been busy until now.
The work at the hospital seemed to never end.
The assistant nodded. "Okay."
Just as Anne Sutton was leaving, the butler arrived. Seeing the assistant eating Anne's lunch, he asked, "Where is Dr. Sutton?"
"She had something to do, so she left."
The butler was at a loss for words.
He returned to the hospital room to find Nathan Fawcett feeding Ian.
Nathan Fawcett asked, "How was it? Did she like the food?"
The butler replied, "She gave her lunch to her assistant."
Nathan Fawcett fell silent.
He glared at the butler, suspecting Anne Sutton was doing this on purpose to get back at him.
