"What if she refuses to marry me?" Nathan Fawcett said. "She has that young, handsome uncle around. You saw Uncle Shields. Your mom likes his type, not mine."
There was a sour note in Nathan Fawcett's voice as he said this.
He had brought Ian back and given Anne Sutton everything from the Fawcett Family, all just to draw a clear line between them.
It was to prevent himself from seeing her with someone else and being unable to resist meddling.
But now, she had delivered herself right to his doorstep.
If she wanted to be with Justin Shields, she would have to see if Ian approved!
Ian said, "What should we do then? It must be because you don't treat her well."
"From now on, whenever you see her with Uncle Shields, tell me. Then, separate them for me. Don't give Uncle Shields any opportunities. Can you do that?"
Ian looked at Nathan Fawcett, suspecting his father was setting a trap for him.
