Mrs. Sutton knew what was going on between him and Anne Sutton.
There was no reason to hide it from Mrs. Sutton.
Hearing what Nathan Fawcett said, Mrs. Sutton replied, "Since you put it that way, I can rest easy."
After all, she and Nathan still had a child together.
She had nothing left to worry about.
Nathan Fawcett looked at Mrs. Sutton and said, "Please, don't worry. I know I've done a lot of things wrong in the past, but from now on, I'll be good to Anne. I won't let her be wronged or bullied ever again. I'll treat her right! And I'll give her a proper wedding."
'Come to think of it, the divorce was actually for the best.'
'At least now they had plenty of time to prepare for a fresh start.'
Mrs. Sutton said, "I hope you mean that."
Nathan Fawcett replied, "Don't worry."
Mrs. Sutton looked over at Anne Sutton. "What should we have for lunch? Shall I cook?"
"No need," Anne Sutton said. "He and I will handle it today. We'll call you when lunch is ready."
