Nathan Fawcett opened his eyes and asked, "When did you get here?"
"I've been here for a little while," Anne Sutton said. "You were sleeping so soundly, I didn't want to wake you."
"Stealing a kiss?" Nathan Fawcett looked at her, his expression complex.
Anne Sutton hugged him, resting her head on his chest. "Can't I? Why aren't you up yet? Sleeping in?"
"I didn't get to sleep until five."
"That late?" she asked, looking at him.
Nathan Fawcett nodded. "Grandpa wasn't feeling well last night, so I stayed with him a little longer. Did your sister and her husband go back?"
"They did. My mother went back with them."
Anne Sutton said, "I didn't have anything to do, so I came to see you! Where's Ian?"
"He's probably in class right now." The tutor was the same one Master Linden had hired previously.
Anne Sutton looked at Nathan Fawcett and said, "You're certainly relaxed about it."
