Wa Zicong turned around to look at her, and Lin Yishan turned her face away, saying, "I'll go buy them something to eat. Since you want to keep them here, you can't starve them, otherwise, it won't mean anything."
Seems about right.
Lin Yishan opened the door and went out. She kept her head down, walking quickly forward, out of the dark alley, to the nearest convenience store. Once inside, she grabbed some snacks randomly. Then, she asked the store owner if there was a telephone she could borrow.
She found the telephone and dialed a number.
The person who answered was a man with a local English accent: "Are you looking for our boss, Miss Lin?"
"Tell your boss, his daughter, I can help send her back."
"What are you saying!"
"His daughter, I will send her back to your boss, so you need to follow what I say next."
In the rental room, after Lin Yishan left, Wa Zicong quickly closed the notebook and urged the two kids to go to the bathroom.
