Company Commander Jin is a smart man, but he can be a bit muddled when it comes to women.
His confusion arises from the belief that women must rely on men to survive, which led him to mistake Ms. Xiao Ji, a vicious widowed concubine, for Little Huabai.
After learning about everything Ms. Xiao Ji had done, he was quite frightened and eventually realized the truth.
There was no way not to awaken; Qin San Lang had just slain the royal general of the Rong people, earning great merit, and after the Kangrong war ended, Kid Qin was sure to be promoted.
Moreover, Kid Qin had the ability to lead everyone to merit, along with a wealthy and resourceful wife who could produce insect attractant, making following such a person certainly worthwhile.
After all, everyone was familiar with each other; following Qin San Lang after his promotion was far better than working under any new Troop Commander.
