Chapter 779 - Chapter 776 Perfect Time

Ayesha began to feel a bit worried. With so many beastkin, would they cause trouble in Sedona City? After all, there were quite a few unruly and untamed beastkin among them.

"If they refuse to listen, we'll send them all to the mines," Ayesha said coldly, a look of determination in her eyes.

She absolutely could not let the beastkin she brought disrupt Sedona City's order and cause trouble for the master. If that happened, she would just send them all to the mines. After all, they wouldn't starve while mining.

Of course, this was a last resort, only applicable to those beastkin who were disobedient and caused trouble.

"It seems there will be quite a bit of trouble after we enter the city," Nancy said deeply. After all, among these ten thousand plus people, there were quite a few beastkin who weren't very obedient.

"We'll see how Lucas handles it." Obi was equally a bit troubled, but this problem could simply be tossed directly to Lucas.

After all, it was Lucas who had originally agreed to accept these beastkin, so the arrangements were not something he could decide anyway.

Soon, the group crossed the crop fields and arrived beside the Whispering River.

The Whispering River was as busy as ever. Many ships were docked at the port, and goods were constantly being loaded onto them.

Seeing this scene, the beastkin immediately let out gasps of amazement once again.

"Look! That ship is huge!" A beastkin's eyes widened in sheer shock as he stared at the fifty-meter-long ship docked at the port.

"There are so many people! And so many beastkin too, they all look so happy."

"Does Sedona City really not hate beastkin?"

"Look quickly, there's actually a bridge over the Whispering River connecting the two banks! That's unbelievable!"

"..."

The beastkin all crowded along the banks of the Whispering River, scanning everything on the opposite shore in awe.

"All of you, behave! Line up and cross the bridge in batches," Ayesha commanded, organizing the beastkin into lines. If anyone dared to disobey, she would greet them directly with her Overlord Spear.

"Captain Ayesha." At this moment, a group of people approached from the opposite bank of the Whispering River. Leading them was the Deputy Director of the Security Department, Ryan.

"Deputy Director Ryan." Ayesha's eyes lit up. She crossed the river and walked up to him.

"Where is the master?" Ayesha looked behind Ryan in confusion.

"Lord Lucas is waiting for you inside the city," Ryan replied, a teasing smile playing on his face.

"Then I'll leave this to you. I'm going to see the master first." Ayesha mounted her horse, turning her head to shout one last sentence: "If anyone disobeys, don't hold back—just knock them out and send them to the mines!"

"Seriously..." Ryan softly shook his head, watching the cow-horned girl's eager, retreating figure.

"Line up! Pass through the checkpoint and accept inspection one by one." Ryan nodded and then directed the soldiers behind him to maintain order, ensuring the beastkin lined up properly to cross the bridge.

As for the saltpeter, there were naturally personnel to transport it away to a specialized warehouse designed specifically for storing saltpeter.

"Why are you confiscating my things?!"

Suddenly, a commotion broke out among the crowd passing through the checkpoint.

Smack, smack...

"Huh?! These belong to me!" An ox beastkin roared angrily, violently slamming his hands on the table.

"Sir, all weapons must be confiscated before you can enter the city. This is for safety reasons. If you are not willing, you can leave right now." The registrar sitting inside the checkpoint looked at the ox beastkin in front of him with a cold face.

It was a good thing his desk was sturdy enough; otherwise, those few slams just now would have completely destroyed it. From his experience gained over these past few days, the registrar knew he couldn't afford to be too gentle with people like this, or else they would just push their luck.

"Leave? Why should I leave?! They all got to go in! I went through so much effort to get here, and now you're telling me I can't enter?!" The ox beastkin forcefully slammed both hands onto the workstation again. His voice was extremely loud, already disrupting the rest of the crowd waiting to pass through.

The registrar wanted to say something else but was interrupted.

"What's going on here?" Ryan frowned, approaching the registration desk.

"This beastkin sir insists on carrying his weapons into the city," The registrar immediately stood up to report upon seeing Ryan arrive.

"Sedona City's regulations dictate that outsiders are not allowed to carry weapons into the city without permission. Please cooperate." Ryan stared coldly at the ox beastkin in front of him.

"What kind of garbage rule is that?! I am going in today no matter what! Lady Ayesha said that Sedona City wouldn't mistreat beastkin, and that there would be food and drink!" The ox beastkin glared with massive eyes, incredibly furious.

"Take him down and send him to the Security Department to be locked up for a few days." Ryan's gaze grew even colder. Immediately, the soldiers standing behind him stepped forward and completely surrounded the ox beastkin.

"What are you doing?! Didn't you say you wouldn't mistreat beastkin?!" The ox beastkin started to panic a little. Looking at the soldiers aiming their spears at him, he was instantly startled.

The soldiers were fully clad in forged steel armor, and the spears in their hands were likewise made of forged steel, their tips gleaming with sharp intent. Although the skin of an ox beastkin was extremely tough and resilient, facing these forged steel spears, the only outcome would likely be getting pierced straight through.

Instantly, the ox beastkin didn't dare to act recklessly anymore. The spears were already pointed directly at his throat; one wrong move would end in nothing but his death.

The ox beastkin was subsequently dragged away, to be treated to a luxurious three-day tour of the Security Department's dark solitary confinement cells.

"Line up properly, all of you! Anyone who acts up will be sent straight to the Security Department to be 'well-entertained'!" Ryan looked out over the remaining beastkin. The imposing aura he had honed in the Security Department ensured none of the beastkin dared to cause any more trouble.

After all, the beastkin had gone through so much hardship to reach Sedona City. They were just one final step away from entering, and they certainly didn't want to get chased away for causing a scene now.

On the other side, Ayesha, who had just entered the city, immediately spotted Lucas and Mina standing at the city gates. She instantly sprinted toward them.

"Master!"

Ayesha brought her horse to a halt, vaulted off, and rushed up to Lucas, throwing her arms around him in a massive hug, her face flushed with excitement.

"Ha..."

A smile graced Lucas's face. Looking at the cow-eared girl, he chuckled and said, "You've lost a bit of weight. You've worked hard. It seems I'll have to feed you well tonight to make up for it."

"Welcome back, Ayesha," Mina laughed softly.

"I missed you too." Ayesha walked over to Mina and gave her a massive hug as well.

In the next second, the cat-eared girl's face was smothered against the cow-horned girl's chest. She immediately began waving her hands and struggling as muffled words drifted out, "Ayesha... let me go right now, you... you big-boobed monster! I'm going to... suffocate to death!"

"Hehe... sorry, Mina. I was just too excited." Ayesha let go, though there wasn't a single trace of genuine embarrassment on her face.

"Big-boobed monster... master, you don't need to feed her up anymore! She's already big enough!" Mina rolled her eyes, glancing pointedly at the cow-horned girl's massive assets.

"Hahaha..." Lucas burst into hearty laughter. It seemed Mina was still very self-conscious about her own size.

"Master, how should we arrange for those beastkin?" Ayesha asked.

"We'll sort them out. The ones with better temperaments will be sent to the major workshops. As for the ones with a bit of a temper—pick out exactly eight thousand of them and send them all outside the city to build roads. Anyone under fourteen will be sent to school to learn how to read and write," Lucas said, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. These people had arrived at the perfect time.
