Chapter 784 - Chapter 781 Iron Ore Export

"To the West District? Isn't there nothing but a market over there?" Daisy asked curiously.

"Daisy, we are indeed heading to the market there," Muller nodded. There was truly not much in the West District; it was merely a commoner's market, and no nobles lived in that area.

No well-known shops were located in the West District either. This seemed to be an unwritten rule in the capital: anyone opening a shop would choose to avoid the West District because it was simply too chaotic.

"Take me with you! I've grown up so much, yet I've never been to the West District's market," Daisy whined playfully, tugging at Muller's hand.

Daisy, as the only daughter of the current Deepstone Dwarf King, had been raised like a precious treasure since childhood and was extremely pampered. Not only did the king dote on her, but her five older brothers also spoiled her deeply. How could they possibly let her go play in such a chaotic place like the West District? As a result, Daisy had never set foot in the West District in her entire life. It was all for her own safety; if any accident were to befall her, the entire capital would probably shake three times over.

"No, Daisy. It's too chaotic over there. For the sake of your safety, it's better not to go." Muller's expression was very serious, and he outright refused.

"Oh, come on, I'll be fine! Don't I have you to protect me?" Daisy directly dragged Muller toward the carriage. Her strength was astonishingly great, and for a moment, Muller actually couldn't break free.

"Don't worry, Alan is following us," Daisy suddenly whispered in Muller's ear.

Hearing this, Muller could only sigh and follow this quirky, mischievous princess into the carriage.

Alan was Daisy's personal guard and the most powerful knight in the Deepstone capital. Under the king's orders, he had been secretly protecting Daisy all along. This was also why Muller finally agreed to Daisy's unreasonable request upon hearing that Knight Alan was nearby.

Another reason was that he was inwardly yearning for that Whispering Dawn liquor, afraid that if he arrived too late, he wouldn't be able to buy any.

At the West District market, the stall where Dahlia was stationed was surrounded by people. Each of them was extremely curious about the items on display.

"What is this?" A human merchant asked from the crowd. What had caught his eye was the lollipop.

"This is a lollipop, one copper coin each," Dahlia said calmly.

The goods Dahlia had brought were specifically meant to open up the market in the Dwarf Kingdom.

"Give me one."

The merchant curiously took the lollipop he had just bought, unwrapped it, and after taking a lick, he couldn't help himself and shoved the whole thing into his mouth.

"So sweet! Give me another one; I'm taking it back for my son."

This scene immediately sparked another buying frenzy.

"Princess Daisy is here!"

Just as the lollipops were about to be completely sold out, someone shouted. The rest of the crowd immediately became restrained and lowered their heads, afraid of accidentally offending Daisy.

"Princess Daisy?" Dahlia's eyes flickered. Then, she exchanged a glance with Elisa and Mira beside her and looked toward the newcomers.

They saw a luxurious carriage park outside the plaza where the market was located. A man and a woman stepped down from it; one of them was Muller, whom Dahlia and the others had met yesterday.

"He's finally here. However, the princess coming along is somewhat beyond my expectations," Dahlia said softly, her voice only audible to Elisa and Mira.

As for Daisy, the group had already heard of her name. This was something anyone could find out simply by asking around in the capital.

"So this is the West District market! There are so many people." Daisy looked around curiously; it was her first time in such a bustling place.

At this moment, a figure appeared beside Daisy. It was a young human man—he was Knight Alan, the one responsible for Daisy's safety.

Daisy wasn't surprised by Knight Alan's appearance. She calmly followed Muller toward Dahlia's stall, while Knight Alan trailed closely behind, his vigilant eyes watching the surrounding crowd.

"We meet again, Miss Dahlia," Muller greeted upon seeing her.

"Princess Daisy, Viscount Muller," Dahlia replied with a faint smile on her face.

"You two know each other?" Daisy asked curiously, while inwardly marveling at the beauty of Dahlia and her two companions.

"We met once before," Muller explained from the side, briefly recounting what had happened yesterday.

"Whispering Dawn?" Upon hearing this, Daisy became very curious about the liquor Muller mentioned.

"Princess Daisy, it's this kind of liquor." Elisa held up a glass; this was another cup of liquor she had just poured.

"Let me try." Daisy was just about to take the glass, but Knight Alan reached out and intercepted it. Then, they saw him tilt his head back and pour a little liquor into his mouth without his lips actually touching the rim.

"Huh?"

"Tsk tsk tsk..."

Knight Alan was astonished. His originally expressionless face revealed a look of great surprise. At the same time, he smacked his lips a few times and, resisting the urge to down the whole thing, handed the glass to Daisy with both hands.

Daisy seemed extremely accustomed to this routine. After taking the glass, she took a sip, her eyes immediately lighting up, and then she directly took a huge gulp.

"Gulp!" Muller stared with glazed eyes, secretly beginning to swallow his own saliva.

"Good liquor! Father will definitely love a drink like this," Daisy said in pleasant surprise, her eyes shining.

She looked at Dahlia and asked excitedly, "How much more of this liquor do you have?"

"We don't have much left on hand right now, but there are another five hundred bottles on our ship," Dahlia said gently.

"That many..." Muller's spirits were instantly lifted. He didn't expect there to be a full five hundred bottles of such fine wine.

"Five hundred bottles? I'll take them all," Daisy declared generously. This way, she could give her father a massive surprise.

It should be known that the current king was notoriously fond of alcohol, treating it as if it were his very life. He had even sent people to buy and drink the famous liquors from the neighboring duchies, showing just how high his love for alcohol really was.

"Princess Daisy, we are not selling the liquor on the ship," Dahlia said softly.

"Not selling? Why not? I have gold coins," Daisy frowned.

Dahlia shook her head and smiled faintly. "The liquor isn't for sale right now. We want to use it to trade for some things."

"Then what do you want to trade for?" Muller asked with a frown.

"Sigh, originally, we planned to use those liquors to exchange for some iron ore to take back. But after asking around these past two days, it seems your Deepstone Dwarf Kingdom doesn't export iron ore," Dahlia said with a hint of regret.
