So that's it, Elyssa actively approached Flynn, she probably knew early on that Flynn was Lucas's ex-girlfriend. If she wanted to deal with Bella Scott, Flynn was a great pawn, because she could ruin Tina Hernandez and Lucas's marriage.
Elyssa's goal, of course, was to hurt Tina, and thereby hurt Bella.
If it worked well, it might even cause Tina and Bella to turn against each other.
Unfortunately, Elyssa's plan didn't go very smoothly, because Bella and Tina got along well, and there was no gap between them.
But no matter what, Elyssa's goal was achieved.
The appearance of Flynn did indeed cause Tina and Lucas's marriage to hit the rocks.
It has to be said that Elyssa is a very calculating woman. Cooperating with someone like her would make dealing with Tina and Bella much easier.
However, there's no need to reveal that Elyssa intentionally approached Flynn.
