After a pause, Kassidy Dean said, "He didn't say anything inappropriate."
After John Bacon and Nina Lambert moved back to the Hernandezs', Kassidy had run into John a few times, and he had never behaved improperly.
This time, he had only blocked her way, and he probably didn't have any ill intentions toward her.
"Still, be careful. He's still got his eye on you," Bella Scott warned.
"I doubt it," Kassidy thought. She was married, and so was John.
Even if John had had designs on her before, time would have revealed their past misunderstanding for what it was.
"Anyway, you can't be too careful with someone like John Bacon. He's crafty, and you wouldn't stand a chance against him," Bella advised uneasily.
She was afraid that Kassidy was too trusting and might be taken advantage of by John. It would be too late for regrets then.
As Kassidy was about to agree to appease Bella, a servant from the Hernandezs' approached and handed her an earring.
