Over there, Flynn Taylor and Lucas Hutt, the newlyweds, went around toasting their guests, and soon arrived in front of Tina Hernandez and Robin Reade.
Before Flynn could say anything, Lucas suddenly asked, "When do you both plan to get married?"
Robin and Tina exchanged a glance but didn't respond.
Lucas took their silence as an indication that Robin didn't want to marry Tina.
With a mix of sarcasm and mockery, he said, "Robin, you don't want to marry Tina Hernandez, do you? It makes sense. There are so many beautiful young girls in the world. Why bother marrying a divorced woman? It'd be embarrassing to be with a second-hand woman!"
Robin was about to retort but Tina interjected, "We haven't decided yet."
What she meant was that they hadn't decided whether to make their marriage public or not, not whether to get married or not.
Of course, Lucas's verbal attack had no impact on Tina; she didn't care at all.
