After driving away Flynn Taylor, Lucas Hutt listlessly entered the living room and stood in the center of the empty space, lost in thought.
His home had become an empty house. In the past, no matter when he came back, his mother would be at home, taking care of him.
Mother saw things most clearly; she tried her best to prevent him from getting a divorce. She had foreseen what would happen to him now.
Mother eventually stopped trying to prevent him from marrying Flynn, thinking that he wouldn't last long with Flynn, right?
Only after obtaining it did he realize that what he had been yearning for was not his original intention.
Mother had found him a good wife, but he had harbored resentment and eventually pushed this wife away.
His current predicament was retribution!
Eventually, Lucas drank too much and dialed Tina Hernandez's phone number on the landline.
Tina didn't expect it to be Lucas again. As soon as Lucas started speaking, she immediately hung up the phone.
