Bella Scott responded with a haughty face, then walked away with the stride of a queen.
"She's becoming more and more like Miss Stuart, really taking herself for a queen," Easton Hernandez said as he automatically helped Mira Reed out of bed.
Mira wanted to say she was fine and didn't need assistance, but Easton was stubborn and wouldn't listen to her.
When they arrived at the dining table, everyone seemed unchanged from before, and her presence didn't attract the attention of the Hernandezs.
Still, Bella couldn't help but complain, "Dragging your feet like this, can't you hurry up? I'm starving!"
"Will you die if you say less?" Easton replied protectively, defending his wife.
"You'll definitely die if you say anything more!" Edward Anderson, equally protective of his wife, chimed in.
Easton and Edward locked eyes, neither giving in until Linda Stuart spoke up, and then everyone focused on the meal.
