Perhaps without the restraints, Wen Linyu appeared rather calm throughout the journey, being fairly cooperative.
This also eased the tension for the bodyguards transferring him, as nothing went awry.
Wen Linyu was blindfolded, spending the next few hours in the car.
It wasn't until he was brought into a pitch-black room that the blindfold was pulled off from above his head.
In the darkness, a bodyguard placed several boxes of milk and a piece of bread on a nearby table.
The bodyguard said, "Each corner has boxes of bottled water, enough for you to drink. The place is guarded all around, so don't waste your energy trying to escape."
Wen Linyu didn't speak.
After the bodyguard left, he carefully examined the room.
The room was mostly made of wooden structures.
There originally was a window, but it had been boarded up from the outside, and if guessed correctly, there might be a layer of iron bars outside.
